Richard C. Rasmussen, age 61, of Ansonia, beloved husband of Lianne Cleary Rasmussen, passed away peacefully in his home on September 9, 2017 with his loving wife at his side. Richard was born on November 2, 1955 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Richard and Nina (Moroz) Rasmussen, and has been a longtime area resident. He was a mechanic at Schick Razor in Milford. Rich was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed gardening, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 39 years, include his devoted daughter, Lauren Ursillo and her husband Christopher of New York, 5 cherished grandchildren, Ben. Max, Sam, Cam and Zach, a brother, Kenny Rasmussen and his wife Peri of Milford, and a niece, Averi Rasmussen. In addition to his parents, Richard was pre-deceased by his sister, Darlene. The Rasmussen family would like to thank the staff at Smilow Cancer Center and Connecticut Hospice at Home-Shelton, for their kind and loving care. Friends may greet his family on Thursday, September 14^th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
