Don’t trust this site! They don’t allow many negative reviews and censor all reviews. They are very biased in favor of the procedure and the physicians. There are WAY more complications with these procedures than reported on this site!

I used RealSelf to find a surgeon for an issue that has caused me much pain and insecurity from a young age. I was contacted immediately and set up with a consultation with an incredible surgeon in my area. Within 3 weeks of me contacting realself, I had my surgery date. I’m 3 weeks post op and I could not recommend RealSelf and the top notch doctors they have on their website enough. Would recommend to anyone and everyone for such an easy progress.

I want to be able to edit my review. I made lots of typos. I want to be able to edit my title. I would like it to be more overall user friendly where instead of just updates I can post new posts on the same procedures. It’s confusing to read peoples’ updates and figure out their timelines. But overall, Realself is THE destination for all things plastic surgery and patient experience.

I left a negative 1 star review for Dr. Nima Shemirani, a doctor with a five star rating. RealSelf moved my review to the very last review.
Realself, is how I found Dr. nima and why I chose Dr. Nima. I regret this decision. I don’t feel I received the level of care I paid for or the level of care advertised to me. I have reason to believe RealSelf is helping Dr. Nima manipulate his image by removing negative reviews or moving them behind all positive reviews. It’s not fair.

Great advice from experienced professionals! I wanted a second and 3rd opinion on my results but paying $200+ for a 15 minute consult and waiting up to 5 months or more to get it was just frustrating. I decided to post my question instead in hopes to get any type of answer I could look into further. I was very surprised to get several responses from very experienced specialists. Much better and quicker than paying and waiting for an in person consult! I received several suggestions and answers to take back to ng doctor when I inquire about a revision. I feel like I could say I received other opinions and this is what they said and assess his response.
I had problems getting my photos posted along with my question. Only 1 photo posted. I used the chat feature and got immediate help and my photos were uploaded right away after emailing them. I wish there was an option to post more than just 6 photos. I will use this again and again for any kind of treatment or procedure, it’s a great resource!

Very grateful this website exists. Where would we all be without Realself, really? The first time I had plastic surgery in 2004, it was not there to help and I know it would have helped in many ways. I've been a real self member since 2017 and I love that I can get real experiences from real people on this website! It helped me so much when making my decision on getting plastic surgery. Being able to see pictures and read about people's good and bad experiences was very helpful for me. I finally was able to have my surgery on January 18 and as soon as I was able posted my before and after pictures and experience with my surgery and dr for it to hopefully be able to help other people using this website. While I think the information is very valuable, but the site has changed so much since I first went on in 2017 and 2030, when I used it again. I find the realself site itself very hard to navigate, to follow people's stories, and to send photos. PLEASE give people a pixel limit BEFORE they submit anything, as I had to go back and knock down all my photos, causing my review to go away and I had to rewrite it from scratch. I also don't like that it is full of ads.
