😠 If you want a simple to build and edit then Moonfruit is not for you. If it was only a clumsy editor then that is at least understandable, but what they have done recently is beyond believe. I was told by a customer my Website was dead - I had not idea. I contacted Moonfruit and found they have moved the service on and I need to make good the site after the flash debacle, then gave me all sorts of techy garbage about what I need to do! I thought I was paying for a simple managed service not one where I need to all sorts of techy playtime rubbish. Not for me. I do not need this tech head rubbish so if if you want a simple service find another more helpful provider.

😠 Too slow to upload page
Too much request

and handling as soon as possible and bla bla bla, These are common excuses used by many Companies now. My site takes too long to upload and it makes me loose customers. People dont have 10 to 15 seconds for a site to upload. Half of my editings seem to appear and waiting 3 days now for reply. I am so unhappy but dont know how to transfer sites to other webhosts and etc. Still asking around. I regret doing business with moonfruit BUNCH OF AMATURES.

😉 Moonfruit Is Mediocre for Business
Moonfruit has pretty cool designs, but they're worthless because no one can find you. Because they use flash, you can't optimize your site as good as html sites for search engines. You also can't see Moonfruit sites on mobile devices like iphones or ipads.

I built my site for free with Yahoo site builder. It looks like crap, but at least you can find it in search engines and view it on your phone. I think I'm going to switch to SetMySite.com soon though, because Yahoo sucks for design.

Just stay away from Moonfruit, Wix, or other flash-based website builders if you need a website for business.

😠 moonfruit.com really disapointed !!!
Have already seen to many scams that offer free website no cost! So signed up for freesite before commiting to anual fee upgrade. loved the software and was about to sign up for anual upgrades. when all of a sudden I could not find site on the web. can still access site threw login says its on web but not so. won't allow access to email or support unless I upgrade. In other words they have NO custumer support for said offer. If U get ripped off because U payed an outfit who started out with a free offer...It's on U. I loved the soft ware...but am not paying for something I can't even get.

I can not even log into my account these days. What is happening?
Also, as I explained before, part of my website (arisedcleaners.co.uk) is disappeared when i go to the website but not when I am in the editing mode. I have attached my website www.elishahair.com to elishahair.moonfruit.com but it keeps login to clean.moonfruit.com. And before, when i could log in, when I go to my website, it takes about 7 to 10 seconds to upload the page. I want my website to upload as quick as other websites do. But now I can not log in and my website is not appearing on the world wide web.

All am thinking is my hard build business and i dont know how to transfer the website to another host YET!

😞 In so far as the ease of use of Moonfruit it is a more than acceptable way to publish a quick web design or copy an existing website design. That being said, at the time of writing this article the copy site feature has been down for the past 3 weeks due to technical upgrades being performed by SiteMaker, of which I might add customers were not informed to begin with. Problems with the upgrades ensued and huge delays in operating the SiteMaker software was the result as well as website downtime. When features like the Copy site function were removed for testing no one was informed it left to customers complaining through forums as Moonfruit does not offer technical support over the phone only via support ticket. The support ticket system can be frustrating - while generally Moonfruit/Sitemaker responds within 48 hours I have personaly never sent a ticket through that has been read its in entirity by the Moonfruit/SiteMaker team, so one query may take 1 week to get the full answer, [read more...]

😠 I recently published an article/email on how MoonFruit's software (SiteMaker) and there customer service works. I must agree that there software is some what pretty good, but with many exceptions. Actually this was until they upgraded it to there new SiteMaker 4.0 software, which they brag so much about.

I've been with MoonFruit for 3 years now (never to sign on with them ever again). After there new software upgrade a few months ago, I've had numerous issues which have turned into complaints because the lack of customer support. With the new features they've added (much of it being flash base animations). Although MoonFruit offers many flash animations, menu bars, etc. There flash animations seem to be conflicting when you place more than 3-5 even more on a specific page. Causing the website to run extremely slow, or simply just crash while your working on your webpage. I recently receive a email from MoonFruit.com techincal support which made me aware that is was time to move on to a true and more supportive technical support staff. A more efficient, and shorter down time in getting answers to issues on software problems. I am not a new customer but a customer who has been with MoonFruit for 2-3 years now. Never really had a complaint with the software or customer support (everything was fine) 'UNTIL' they made an upgrade to the new software now in place. Never had a problem with pictures being too big or small, or page being too heavy. For the past couple of months I have been having problems with there own flash animations they provide. 😁 I must say I have now built two sites with Moonfruit and have had little problem. When I have had a problem I have gone straight to the free Moonfruit forum and someone has given me the correct information to resolve the issue. The first site http.www.futonuk.co.uk has aleady moved up in the Yahoo and Google search engines. If any one has time pleae look at my site and give me some feedback - Glenn PS My only concern at the moment is the issue between Adobe and Apple as Moonfruit is flash based.

DISAPPOINTED@MOONFRUIT (do_the_right_thing@g...)

😞 The features that moonfruit offers are superb, amongst the best that I have seen, I have reviewed and use several dozen over the past 8 years or so. Moonfruit considered the end user and provides the best and easiest tools for web building. The up time is fine.

HOWEVER, the customer service is lacking. I have found that it is slow at best and non-responsive. My site was/is down and I have emailed them several times for the past week and as of today, I have not received any assistance other than the following message - I AM A PAID MEMBER NOT A FREE USER!:

Thank you for your query. At present we are experiencing very high demand. We normally aim to respond to all queries within 24 hours however this may take up to 48 hours or longer depending on the query.

While all tickets are normally answered chronologically, we are currently addressing the most urgent queries first e.g. inability to login, payment issue, or loss of website or domain name.
