Now that you have booked your Royal Caribbean cruise (exciting!) it is very important that you complete your Royal Caribbean Online Check-in.

The information you enter when you complete your Royal Caribbean Online Check-in, or Pre-Registration as it is also known, is required by the Department of Homeland Security prior to departure. This specific guest information is required by law, and used for internal security screening. Failure to provide this information in advance may result in your boarding being denied.

Sounds very serious, but it is to ensure your safety at sea and faster boarding at the pier! You can complete Royal Caribbean’s Online Check-in up until 24 hours prior to your departure date.

To make this go as quickly as possible it is important for you to gather the information you need before you begin. Here is a checklist that will help.

  • First and Last Legal Names (as they appear on the passport or birth certificate)
  • Ship, Sail Date and Royal Caribbean Reservation Number (series of numbers)
  • Royal Caribbean’s Past Passenger Crown & Anchor Member Number (if applicable)
  • Contact Information (including permanent address and telephone number)
  • Passport Details (passport number and expiration)
  • Emergency Contact Person (name and phone number)
  • Travel Plans (flight details or approximate car arrival times)
  • Credit Card for Purchases Onboard (last four digits and expiration date)

Now just scroll down slightly to select which guests you would like to complete, click on the ‘Begin Check-in’ box in blue and you’re on your way!

Save the information and proceed to the Next Guest. If you don’t have all of the information at once you can save what you do have then go back in to edit or add information later.

There are four steps to complete for each guest on the reservation:

1. Guest Information: Enter required contact and immigration information. Personal information, contact details, emergency contact, and travel documentation information including passport number and expiration date (or other accepted document). You will also need to provide your travel plans before or after the cruise – private vehicle, flight information, taxi or other with approximate arrival times.

2. Onboard Expense Account: Set up an expense account for onboard purchases as all Royal Caribbean ships operate on a cashless system. You may establish a master account and add guests from your stateroom or another stateroom as authorized purchasers on your account. If setting up an account with cash, simply make the appropriate selection and move forward. If setting up an onboard expense account with a credit card, the card holder must be one of the guests sailing. You will need to provide your credit card’s last four digits and expiration date. You will need to bring this card with you to check-in on embarkation day. Any time you make changes to your Expense Account Information, you must print a new Set Sail Pass.

3. Cruise Ticket Contract: Scroll down to read and accept the cruise ticket contract for yourself and guests in your reservation. You may also accept the ticket contract for minors on another reservation by entering their reservation number and last name.

4. Set Sail Pass: Print your Set Sail Pass for your departure. Sign where requested and bring with you to check-in along with your travel documents! You cannot print your Set Sail Pass until the reservation has been paid in full.

After each guest has provided the necessary information, you are done with Royal Caribbean’s Online Check-in!
