Our Verdict
I wasn’t able to determine what the rate offered for the savings account is, but I suspect it’s close to 0%. That being said, this bonus is still worth doing if you live near a branch, if you don’t have $15,000 in cash laying around then you can always just focus on the checking bonus and leave the smaller savings bonus alone. We will be adding this to our list of the best checking account bonuses.

Anyway I tried to apply for me and my wife and we both got canceled.
So much waste of time for this small bank.
Upon trying to xfer money to or from this bank AFTER doing the deposit verification and 2 factor authentication, this bank forces an additional verification step in when you call the branch, and leave a voicemail; later, while you are working, someone tries to call you and ASKS YOU TO VERIFY YOURSELF. You know, for the xfer you created in your own account. I was then asked to provide pretty much every shred of info that I gave upon account creation as well as my external account last 4. This is a very difficult bank and I have never experienced anything like this from a non-local bank. Having said that, if they pay up I am going to make churning these idiots yearly one of my top priorities. They need to lose as much money as possible. Well, they already are as they’re paying multiple human beings to call and badger people over 500 dollar external transfers.
You can avoid this headache by initiating the transfers(in and out) using your external bank instead of having Seacoast do it on their end.
all offers looked expired. Can’t find *any* offers they currently run rummaging around their site either.
looks like the offer is no longer available. The offer link redirects to expired-offer page

I did have to eat 2x $25 maint fee’s, so about a $300 bonus which is still great. Will downgrade my account
Did they make you jump through hoops to initiate xfers? I have never experienced this.
Hey sorry for the late reply, I used Zelle to transfer $ out of the account after I recieved the bonus. I closed my account over the phone.
Checking only bonus:
2/17/23 – Opened account
2/24/23 – Real DD of 1.5k
4/30/23 – Should have received bonus on this date
7/7/23 – $350 received after three phone calls
How many maint fees in total?
Did anyone tried to downgrade from Premium to Freestyle or Classic checking?
Yes i did
Applied online. No Chex inquiry. Approved. Over the past three to four years, I’ve had Chex inquiries for in branch applications only – for both personal and business. However, no inquiries for personal checking applications online.
P1’s checking bonus paid out on 5/24, still waiting for P2’s and the savings bonus for both.
For P1, I “DD”d from Ally and Discover. Looks like I did just Discover for P2 and forgot the Ally.
2/21/2023: Opened for P1
2/23/2023: Xfer from Discover
2/24/2023: Xfer from Ally
$15k in MMA makes it fee-free
5/24/2023: “PROMOTION BONUS,DM500,CREDIT MEMO” $350
2/23/2023: Opened for P2
2/27/2023: Xfer from Discover
$15k in MMA makes it fee-free
Still waiting…
dean Congratulations! Based on my experience in the past with them, I know they enforce the mailer requirement so I must admit I had a high degree of doubt that they will credit you any portion of the bonus. Keep us updated and hopefully you have more good news to share soon!
Christopher Robin I broke down and called the bank. I know, I know, “don’t call the bank”. But I was missing the $150 bonus on the money market account, which was legitimately earned, despite my “DD” on the checking. After several holds, “we’re looking into it”.
Next day, $150 credit: “PROMO BONUS,DM500,CREDIT MEMO” $150.
Still nothing happening for P2. I might have her call in for that one as well, probably just for the MM.
dean Cheers! You’ve had very good luck with them. Thanks for following up.
Let’s see if you will have success with P2. Keep in mind that the terms do state: ” You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus each calendar year and only one bonus per account per household. ”
Did you use the same address for P1 & P2?
Christopher Robin yes, same address. Rolling the dice, without DPs indicating whether it’s enforced or not.
P2’s MMA bonus paid out automatically today, a pleasant surprise. No call to the bank was needed. Unsure why it took almost three weeks past P1’s payout, when the opening dates and funding dates were essentially the same.
I’m closing all the accounts after the ACH transfers complete, giving up on P2’s checking bonus.
Christopher Robin
dean Congrats on the bonus haul! Thank you for keeping us updated and for tagging me.
Also had to call the bank but they posted the $350 after a few days
