Left disabled person withno shopping…

Sat for 2 hours waiting for my order to show up, eventually called to ask where it is to be told it has been cancelled!!! Pity you didnt think to let me know. So they left a disabled person with no basic provisions(bread, milk) and just not let me know. The customer service rep was rude and unhelpful, this is my first time ordering with Sainsburys.. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Absolutely useless company. Will be pursuing this. Stick to TESCO in future at least they honour their deliveries.

Everything runs smoothly

Everything runs smoothly, polite and helpful delivery people, on time and good products. I have struggled at times to order the correct amount or weight of some things like a large loaf but accidently asking for a small one or one potato! these cock ups are getting less and less. I would like to shorten my favourites list, that`s the next thing to tackle.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would! Absolutely shocking customer service who are in South Africa. Cant speak to anyone in the UK. Spent over two hours on the phone trying to sort issue with online account and the promotions. I would also say they are scamming their customers! Too long an issue to go into it on here but issue not resolved. Requested twice for a Manager to call me . Each time I've chased this I've been told theres no notes on the account and have to start the process all over again! I will NEVER use these company again!

Great experience.

I've had to use Sainsbury's delivery for about 2 months now due to medical reasons and not being allowed to drive.
In fact using the saver slots, I find a delivery cheaper than before when I used my own car.
Never been let down and only once had an alternative item delivered which was fine anyway.
Delivery is always within the designated time.
To be honest, I'm sure the I spend less shopping this way.
I just buy what I want and no fancy extras.

Allows time to add or take off on order…

Allows time to add or take off on order prior to delivery.
Keeps you informed of delivery time and arrives on time.
Good quality products
Money taken on day of delivery unlike other places.
Helpful delivery driver
On finding an item missing I was able to use a free phone number to contact, greeted by helpful person who organised for refund

AVOID AVOID AVOID - An awful customer experience

An awful customer experience - I made an online delivery order. It never arrived. My money was taken. No attempt was made to communicate with me as to why it didn't arrive. My order was due to arrive between the hours of 7 -11pm and so I waited up until 1am in the hopes it was just late. The following morning I had to call to find out what happened as I had a refund email in my inbox. The van had broken down.. why didn't you tell me this so I could make other arrangements?

In the end, i was offered a £10 compensation voucher, of which they suggested I needed to use £6.50 to get the food i ordered delivered the following day?! How does that make any sense?? Ultimately, an absolute shambles and I am now having to make other arrangements that don't cost a small fortune to get delivered 2 days late - AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Foreign Object

I always shop in Sainsbury’s, I purchased taste the difference scones, ate 1 perfect started to eat the second, and all of a sudden thought that’s hard, there was a solid piece of blue plastic in my mouth 2cm, I informed customer care, and yes they did as a good will gesture give me 2000 nectar points, but that was it, surely that batch should have been recalled, I could have broke a tooth, swallowed it got stuck in my throat, I asked if they wanted a picture ( NO). Unfortunately i left it on the side and my son must have thrown it away, I should have contacted someone else too. Was just so shocked that Sainsbury’s actually didn’t care

I like Sainsbury’s food

I like Sainsbury’s food always wanted to live near a Sainsbury’s. Good food fresh mostly. Spacious supermarket. Started having deliveries again but the pickers to not pick long dates and that’s bad on fresh meat etc and even some fruits. Usually good dates in store. Like their fresh bread counter. The only problem is me being elderly and on own there is nothing available in fresh food for one!!! Everything is two or more. I think you supermarket should get together and sort this out. We have to waste so much food as no fresh counters where would could chose One item at time.

Weekly shopper

I did not order from Sainsbury's for quite a while but now find myself placing an order almost weekly. They have saver slots from £1. Always deliver on time. Good choice of products and lot's of offers. Nectar points. Usually polite delivery drivers. Now better than any other major supermarket for on line delivery!

Mostly good

Mostly have my shopping from Sainsburys delivered. The food is of good quality, is packaged well and has a reasonable shelf life.
My only bugbear is substitutions. It's OK that you get a voucher for the difference in price but it doesn't reflect they've sent you a smaller item so in some cases you still lose out. Also very often items earning Nectar points are unavailable for home delivery - Sainsburys baking block in particular.

Very pleasant Delivery man

Very pleasant Delivery man, friendly and cheerful. The whole process was swiftly done. Mg only complaint is with the Packers who put an Italian cheesecake at the bottom of the delivery tray causing it to be partly squashed which is a great shame considering it is meant for a birthday party dessert.

Not worth the money

SAINSBURY TASTE THE DIFFERENCE CHICKEN HAM AND LEEK PIE..

Was a huge DISSAPPOINTMENT!
I was looking forward to a premium quality pie with my husband ....the pastry was awful...it had a thick dough like consistency underneath a very thin layer of crispy pastry like filo...but it was like eating raw pastry ..the filling was stodgy like minced up chicken...no chunks of chicken or ham and zero creamy sauce...nothing like the description or picture on the box... It was a complete waste of money.....I cooked exactly as stated on box and I know my oven is not to blame as I use it all the time.. think sainsbury owe me a refund ...so much for taste the difference premium pies...

Online grocery shopping has been a lifeline!

I’ve had to use online grocery shopping for nearly 4 months now due to having 2 major abdominal surgeries (first one botched and had to wait for corrective surgery again which I’ve just had) and other than an odd item being substituted, an odd thing short dated etc it’s been a god send each week. And all the drivers who carry the food into my kitchen for me have been super helpful too. My local store is the Kingsgate, East Kilbride.

Well done Sainsburys to you Shrewsbury

My delivery now comes from the Sainsburys to you Shrewsbury hub and I have really noticed the difference. On most orders they have had everything I ordered with no substitutions yet. The order is also well packed, with heavy items not squashing delicate ones!
The drivers have been polite and helpful, on time, even early on one occasion.
I'm very pleased with the service from the Shrewsbury hub.

You've let yourselves down!

Usually pretty good, a few unobtainable items but quick and efficient service.
This time was different, firstly upon amending my order the price didn't change.
Secondly I couldn't use my Nectar points as part payment, but the final slap in the face.
I had ordered a meal deal which includes a bottle of wine, when the one I ordered wasn't available Sainsbury's substituted it with a more expensive one AND, because it wasn't part of the deal, charged me full price for the available items. NOT FAIR!

Great prices & good service

I've shopped at Sainsbury's for many years. Now they've introduced their Nectar prices & price promise - I've found them much cheaper than other supermarkets.
I like the way I can get everything of quality in one place.
Their delivery drivers are always friendly and helpful.

Sainsburys - time for a change?

I have been a sainsburys customer for absolutely years. I started subscribing to the sainsburys pass for the last two years. While I still like some things about sainsburys - nectar prices and them starting to switch to enviro packaging for example - but the website can be really glitchy, sometimes basic things get substituted and the pickers can frequently dish out some very poor produce, which feels like they don’t care because you won’t refuse it. I’m considering whether I stick with them or start trying elsewhere.

After my car broke down in the petrol…

After my car broke down in the petrol station car wash, I had to wait there for breakdown assistance for hours. The forecourt staff came out to let me know that I could get refreshments (Costa coffee!) and checked on my welfare several times. Terrilynne in particular was really lovely and huge thanks go to her.
