I cannot believe Seacoast Bank is doing this to me. I made a payment of $11,720 to my mortgage company through my online banking, and they sent a check. The check never made it to my mortgage company. Now, I have to put a stop payment on the check and wait almost 10 days to get my money back. This was their fault. I am done with Seacoast Bank, despite having been a customer with them for years. There's no reason for me to wait 10 days to get my money back and to reissue another check to my mortgage company.
Absolutely the worst online banking software!!!! Very unfriendly and have had to call bank to be able to look at my online payees because they would not show up under online activity. Needed to change some amounts in recurring payments and was impossible to do online and needed to call bank. I have USAA banking and just about everything can be accomplished online and very quickly.
The local branches and the corporate office do not communicate with each other. I was scammed out $1500 and it took them over 2 months to resolve and just recently, the corporate office closed my account because of a small negative balance the same day that the branch told me everything was okay. Now, I have to go deal with my direct deposit being in limbo because of this.
They have falsely reported late payments twice to my account which damaged my credit score even thought i paid my heloc balance in full and early. I wish to close the account immediately.
Horrendous. Cannot explain how bad in a short summary. As a business owner I chose Freedom Bank due to the local feel and local underwriting. I was very very happy. When Freedom was bought by Seacoast everything changed. Our accounts (all in good standing) went from good standing to predatory lending by Seacoast. They appear to be hurting for money and seizing funds wherever they can despite a 100% perfect payment history. If you're a fellow business owner, I implore you to take your business elsewhere. Even the simplest means of communication are mishandled and I have to constantly keep an eye on what they're doing so I don't get screwed by them even more. Caveat emptor.

My online bill pay payee entry form does not work as designed; that is, I cannot add data to certain fields. My Seacoast local bank told me to contact customer support. Seacoast customer support told me to call my local bank. No one will help me. Before I can close my Seacoast account, I will need some time to transfer my direct deposits from government accounts and from private businesses. In the meantime, I do not feel confident using Seacoast online bill pay. I will continue to use the online bill pay with my other bank, which works as designed.
This bank is a ripoff, I deposited a check a day ago and they already returned for NSF within a day and charged me $35. The checks are supposed to be clear within 2 business days... what is wrong with these people?!?!?! This is not the first time they do that!!!!
worst experience i’ve ever had with a bank. they make everything 10x more difficult than it needs to be and it’s a horrible experience everytime i have to do anything with them. i had $3 in my account for a few days and out of nowhere they charged me a maintenance fee of $10(that i was never made aware of) and since i never made any transactions i didn’t check my account balance and so they charged me an overdraft fee of $5 every single day for like a week. absolutely ridiculous
Worst bank ever.l! My bank was bought out by seacoast in Williston Fl. It was a nice community bank was with them close to 20 years. This banks customer service rots!! Different answers to same questions depending on who u talk to even if they pick up phones They are very fee based and overly rules oriented I can not say enough negative things concerning this bank. Stay Away!!
I have been a business checking customer of BankFirst and its successor Sera last Bank for 17 years. Several years ago I availed myself of the mobile deposit feature. Never a problem until two months ago. All of a sudden my deposits were frequently not accepted. I am a one member LLC. My clients would pay my invoices either Naming my LLC or my name. Never a problem. All of a sudden I am being denied deposit unless the check was in the name of my LLC. That's about 50% of the time and I make about 50 deposits per month. I could have tolerated if there was a Seacoast Branch where I live but the nearest branch is 70 miles away. So I was being forced to contact the Branch where I opened the account 17 years ago and and had the Branch Manager clear my checks or send the checks back to my clients and ask them to reissue. I understand their heightened security measures but I went to a local competitor who will accept either my LLC or me personally on the check. Don't know why they could not accommodate me but suffice to say I moved on.
Stopped by a booth at a boat show and the person at the booth gave me a card. Worked with Charles Beres. Charles was very rude and unprofessional. Charles spoke over me multiple times and suggested that I was falsely stating income. Charles knew nothing of the loans that were discussed at the booth at the boat show and had to verify programs offered by the bank, that he later confirmed were available. Charles is unprepared and does not know about his own department's products. I do not recommend this lender.

I’m not one to leave reviews for businesses. It’s just not who I am. But, SeacoastBank is by far one of the worst banks I’ve ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Their customer service is a joke. I lost my debit card and they wouldn’t get it to me for 10 to 15 days. Or I could spend money to get it expedited. Which I refuse to do because it’s a money grab. So I opened a new account at a better bank and began the process of switching my funds over. They will still charge you fees and overdraft fees even though you turn off overdraft protection. Also, Antonio at customer service is incredibly unprofessional and rude. Do yourself a favor and find any bank other than seacoast.
Terrible Customer Service from 1-866# This bank needs to get it together, patience is running very thin with this bank with their random fees and the time it takes just to get a new card. There is no choice of a temporary card, every other bank offers this service, so we are noW without a bank card for 2 weeks. Always an issue with SeacoastBank it never fails !
Horrible service. U open accounts and transfer everything over they close acct w/o reason. Then fail and refuse to send money back to customer even though the seacoast system shows balance and available but yet they feel they do not have to return the money. Stay away from this bank read all reviews horrible bank

Seacoast National Bank doesn't currently offer any credit cards. Their debit cards, on the other hand, do use chip technology.
Chip cards are also called EMV cards. Using a chip instead of just a magnetic strip in credit cards is more secure and offers much better fraud protection.
In the last few years chip cards gained a lot of popularity nationwide. Many of the major issuers already shifted to using this technology. There...
