Individual Usernames and Passwords

Cali Lessons are Interactive tutorials written by law faculty and constantly kept up to date. They can be used to study or test student knowledge. The material is rigorous, but short, taking 20-40 minutes to complete each lesson. 

For a faculty activation code, please contact lawlibref@shu.edu.

The Rodino Law Library can provide you with articles from the following journals via law.com. Due to use restrictions, please email lawlibref@shu.edu specifiying the article you'd like and we'll provide it to you directly.

  • Full-time faculty can continue accessing Law360 on the school’s network or via a separate Law360 user.com ID. If a full-time faculty member is interested in a separate Law360 ID for off-campus access, please email lawlibref@shu.edu.
  • Adjunct faculty can continue to access Law360 through the school’s network only.

Instructions:

Step 1: Navigate to accessnyt.com (while connected to a campus IP).

Step 2: Search for and click the listing for Seton Hall University School of Law.

Step 3: Click Create Account and complete registration fields.

FAQs

  1. If you already have a paid account, you need to cancel it first by contacting customer care: customercare@nytimes.com / 800-591-9233.
  2. For troubleshooting and verification purposes, it is better if people use their University email. 
  3. Faculty must renew once a year from a campus IP. Renewal Instructions:
    1. While on campus please go to https://myaccount.nytimes.com/grouppass/access  
    2. Click on "already have an account". 
    3. Enter your New York Times email address and password and click the "login" button.
  4. Students register once and expire September of their graduation year.
  5. If you can’t sign up on campus, please email us at lawlibref@shu.edu.

You can access Historical New York Times articles through:

Tax Analysts has a new website.  The new site offers easier reading and navigation, the ability to personalize your landing page and see articles recommended for you, and new menu-driven searching and retrieval for documents.

For the initial sign-in, you need to be in the building at Seton Hall Law.  After you create a login it can be used remotely.  If you won’t be within the IP range to create your account, let us know so we can assist you. 

Create an account:

  1. Please go to TaxNotes, and click SIGN IN at the top left.
  2. In the username field, please enter your shu.edu e-mail address.  Click Next.
  3. On the next screen, please click on the blue “Register Here” link under “New Seton Hall University User?”
  4. Fill out the Profile form and click SAVE CHANGES.
