After long time I tried to log into my Skype account. I couldn’t login. So I reset my password and logged successfully. The wondering thing is my all contacts are gone! I have waited few days until sync the contacts. But there is no any contacts. My hundred of clients are gone now. So I search the Google to fix this issue and tried too much things to fix this. Nothing happened. Here is the great news. Finally I figure out how to fix that. This post will help you to fix this issue in 5 minutes..! Let’s start.
Step – 1
Download and install Skype Desktop.( If you are not installed ).
Step – 2
Sign out from the Skype. After sign out you can see the option “Use another account” on login screen. click on it.
Step – 3
Try to log in using your SKYPE USER ID. Not the Email Address.
Step – 4
Enter the password. It shows “Your account or password is incorrect. If you don’t remember your password, Reset it now” link. Click “Reset it now“.
Step – 5
In the next step, clicked on the email address. After that you can see the field to enter email address. Enter hidden email address and click “Get code” button.
Step – 6
Once you received the verification code, enter it and verify the account. You will received the email subject as “Microsoft account password reset”. Don’t worry. That is for your Legacy Skype account, not the Microsoft login.
Step – 7
In next step asking the new password steps. Enter you new password and submit.
Now log into your Skype account using new password. Check the contacts list. You can see your all contacts there.
Remember. You can’t see the chat history. That is the issue here.
