Blackbaud, Inc. and its subsidiary Smart, LLC (collectively, "Blackbaud") is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") provides you with information concerning our practices and procedures as they
relate specifically to information we collect at our website and information provided to us by parents, students,
and schools in connection with use of our solution Blackbaud Tuition Management (also referred to as the "Solution").
If you have additional questions or would like further information on this topic, please feel free to write to us at
privacy@blackbaud.school. By visiting this website, using Blackbaud Tuition Management, or otherwise providing us your
information, you are accepting the practices described herein. We may update this Policy from time to time, so please
check this Policy periodically for changes.
The Basics
Schools contract with us to provide Blackbaud Tuition Management and we act as their agent for the purpose of billing and
accepting payments from families of schools’ students (“Families”). This means we collect data from two types of users:
Families and individuals who work for or are otherwise authorized users of our school customers (“School Users”). If we
use data differently for one user group versus another, we will note it below. As a service provider for our Schools, our
use of Family and School User data is governed by our contracts with Schools. To the extent that a School contract contains
restrictions on data use that contradict with anything below, the contract provision will prevail.
Collecting your Personal Information
We do not collect any personal information about you unless you choose to provide it to us voluntarily. We define
"personal information" as information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you. Such information might
include your phone number, name or email address. Generally, this information is requested when you are asked to register
before entering a contest, subscribing to e-mail newsletters, completing an online survey, joining a limited-access premium
site, viewing premium-level resource information, enrolling in the Solution as a Family or School User, or when requesting
information about or purchasing the Solutions. If you encounter a screen, page, or form that requests information you do not
want to share with us, do not enter the information and do not proceed with that screen, page, or form. If you are a Family,
personal information may include your credit card or other financial information we need to process payments on behalf of
our Schools.
