I made a few mistakes with my account, which I rectified. I made a deposit to clear an overdraft from my other financial institution. I was told that the ACH deposit to my account could still return, and if it did, my account would be terminated. How is an ACH return even possible? I initiated the ACH transfer from my bank, not Blaze. It has already cleared. Does Blaze treat all customers like this? It seems like some of the employees are giving out incorrect information and providing poor customer service.

Haven't been able to log in to my account for THREE DAYS, with no answer as to why the system is down or when it will be resolved. No clue what my balance is and I cant access my account AT ALL. This is BEYOND SHADY

I left a big bank for better personal service. This merger has become another big bank. I tried to access my accounts, but Blaze is a maze. Access is loaded with commercial ads, yet is sadly lacking in proper instructions. Forget the sales pitches and provide step-by-step instructions for the ordinary customer to navigate their way through the Blaze maze. I hope it improves. Competitors, exit.

On Friday, December 22, I was in Elk River to pay off my VISA credit card, which I closed in Saint Michael. I had $130 left, which they said should not incur any additional fees or interest. Most of the larger banks have their own VISA, but Spire uses a third-party credit card provider, which is lacking in customer service and unwilling to assist members. The manager at Elk River was no help, and she told me if I wanted to go to Wells Fargo, I should go for it. Too bad the interest is not at 3%; I would go back to Wells. After speaking twice with customer service representatives, I talked to Candace, the Vice President, and she resolved the issue. Hopefully, with the new merger of the two banks, they will either improve customer service at the Elk River branch or consider promoting her to a teller position.

I wanted to open checking and savings account with Spire, I called to schedule an appointment, when I came in I had to wait 30 minutes. I was there on time. Banker was rude from start, never said hello or said sorry for making you wait. Banker said why would you come to a branch when you can open an account online. I make good money and don't need to be treated like that. I left and open an account next door.

If I could give Spire zero stars, I would. This is the worst credit union ever. First, their online banking system is frequently down. One never knows. Second, their information technology system is really lousy. They force members to use long, long passwords that are at least 12 or 14 characters long. Their online banking system would have looked great way back in the 1960s. Geez. Third, a lot of their tellers wear a ton of perfume. If you have allergies, my advice to you is "run". Fourth, I have a really great credit score and I'm never late with any payments on anything. Despite this, Spire would not approve a credit card for me.
My advice to anyone considering this credit union, is look someplace else. Wings, for example, seems to be quite good. I also like Hiway but now this credit union will probably merge with Hiway. In any case, this place is really pathetic.

Spire Credit union has by far the worst customer service i have ever seen/received from anywhere in the world and here is why. 1. i have been banking with Spire since 2017 and the customer service hasn't always been good but because i was financing my car through them i just was stuck with them but if had any other options trust me i would have moved. 2. i was Charged -400 dollars for i don't know for what and why and when i called to ask the why and what the person on other side of the line just said they don't care i have pay the 400 dollars or my account goes to collections, it has been 2 years now and then i get a call from spire asking me to pay the balance i owe and i asked why they haven't sent it collections, this is how bad spire credit customer service is "that i would match rather deal with a collections agency than spire" i actually went to the Eden Prairie branch and i have gotten the same treatment i got from the person over the phone, i think it is a dying culture in Spire. 3. No customer service skills at all, the tone used to speak to customers, the language, all of it is just very very poor considering they have been in the business for so long. would i ever recommend anyone to bank with Spire? absolutely not, if you are already banking with them i suggest you move before it is too late because in the end they will treat you like garbage regardless of how many years you have banked with them, Walmart and dollar general have better customer service than Spire.

Horrible service horrible fees consistently locked out of my account for reasons unknown to me! I will have money in my account then all of a sudden I am negative wth!! Spire are robbers watch out been with them several years not just angry po'd and I have given them the benefit of the doubt!! Update Denny VP reached out turns out it may be the MERCHANTS at fault still confusing but he was caring and very helpful thank you Denny!!

They are the best!!!!!! I really like them!!They gave the lowest rate for my car approval loan and I needed money and they approved me for it really fast with no hesitation and that was Awesome. So business with them has been excellent. This is my first time ever having a car payment and they make everything so easy for me.
Horrible customer experience. Observed garnishment fees on my account after 6 days of initial deposit. Called and asked what is going on. They said I had to work with 3rd party to resolve. No court order authorizing garnishment. Had to get MN AG involved to resolve to get all fees removed and access to accounts. Was made to feel by Spire like a criminal for access to my accounts and money. Withdrew all money and closed all accounts. Never had problems anywhere else in 50 years of banking.

Do not bank with Spire. Fraud was also committed on our account. However Spire allows people to open a savings account online without coming into the office. A fake ID was submitted and we have been struggling to clean up fraud on our other accounts for six months. This is very irresponsible of this bank. Service regarding this issue has been extremely poor. Stay away

Fraud was committed on my account. I filed the affidavit to dispute and never even received a call back . Unbelievable the way this bank operates and then when I call and speak to 3 different people they cant even tell me anything about it. Whatever you do . Do not give this bank your business you will regret it !!!
Think of the worst BANK you have done business with, double it and you have SPIRE the "credit union". I highly advise going anywhere else. Personally I feel bad for those who make the switch to come here, just to find out it's worse than big banks. Fees on top of hidden fees and policies that hold you back from making financial decisions, these are just the top major issues. Then you get into bad customer service, glitchy online banking that's always down for maintenance. Been with Spire for 4 years so iv tried to give the benefit of the doubt. This review isn't just a mad customer making a quick bad reaction, it's repeatedly being mistreated that caused this review. So seriously check all options before putting your money and future here.
