  • Attn. Instructors: Turnitin Direct Tool Error (Monday, August 28, 2023)
There is an issue with the Turnitin Direct tool and some students are receiving a "Submission Failed" error when trying to submit their Turnitin assignments.
If students are reporting that they can't submit their work to Turnitin in your Blackboard course, instructors should remove the broken assignment and create a new Turnitin assignment using the Feedback Studio tool.
Creating a Turnitin Assignment in Feedback Studio:

    1. Navigate to where you want to create the assignment in Blackboard

    2. At the top of the screen on the horizontal menu, click on the Build Content dropdown

    3. Select Turnitin Feedback Studio

    4. Fill out the fields and click Submit

These steps will create a new Turnitin assignment for your students to submit their work. You can delete the broken Turnitin Direct link from your course.
