Hello!

This computer runs Windows 10. It was booting fine until a couple days ago. Now when I try to boot it goes from BIOS, to the Splash Screen, and then the circling White on Black screen, then a circling small blue sand dollar, and then eventually to the error message

"LogonUI.exe-Application Error. The instruction at 0x00007FFC83D2A263 referenced memory at 0x0000034600000445. The memory could not be read."

This whole process takes about 30 minutes.

I have tried reseating memory but that did not help. I have tried RAM from another identical computer that is booting and that did not work.

This is a RAID1. I have tested both drives(WD) and long tests both passed.

Using a windows 10 DVD I am able to get to a command prompt. I tried to run sfc /scannow and it gives me a windows resource protection message and quits after verification.

I was able to run chkdsk /r and it found some things but did not fix the issue.

I was able to recover data by pulling the drive and connect the drive to a pc via USB device.

Thanks for your help!

Try booting into Advanced Startup Options and do a Startup Repair...

A temporary solution is to boot in safe mode, disable the video card and boot in normal mose. After you log on you should be able to enable the video card with no further issues.

Thanks Jwoods301. I tried startup repair and it failed. I also tried system restore from the Windows 10 Disk but no restore points.

Your link was very helpful in that it lead me to how to, through bcdedit, create a safemode option.

Now I can get into Safemode! I ran sfc /scannow and it repaired some things, and I ran virus scans and all they found were PUPs.

I tried chkdsk and it said I needed to reboot. So I rebooted and it hangs at 13% when it is attempting to repair.

Next I am going to go back into Safemode and try Lvlposts suggestion.

Thx!

In Safemode I ran CCleaner and disabled the video driver(Intel 4000). Rebooted and now I am in Normal Mode. I am going to test things from here but thank you for getting me into Normal Mode!
