Cant login to the game
I bought this game some time ago and decided to go back to it now to play with a friend but when i launch the game i get the choice of "I currently possess a square enix account." or "I do not possess a square enix account."

I pressed that i do possess and i tried to login only to get wrong id or password so i pressed that i forgot my id or password and reseted it but it still wont let me in.

I am able to log in on my account on the website with both my normal login and steam login and it says i dont even have the game on the profile.

Are you trying to log into a Square-Enix account or MogStation account?

I tried with the square enix account, also would like to know i can get into my account before i renew my subscription

I"d log in to the mogstation. If you can do that then you will be able to see your account.

I tried with the square enix account, also would like to know i can get into my account before i renew my subscription

you can login to the mogstation. not the game without a sub fee you cannot even download patches because "SE".

after alot of tries and changing passwords it seems my account that should have my game when i bought it on steam dont have it anymore but my old account seem to have the game since 2011, and when i try to login on that i get "No valid service account is available to play FINAL FANTASY XIV."

that means your sub has expired simply. you can still login with that same login and password on mogstation to check. your account is not gone. that message is highly misleading tbh.

you always that message when you have no active sub except if there is a free days running like last month (over now)

thanks everyone, it seems that mogstation said that i didnt have the game on the new account but after going around a bit it finaly showed everything i had

Same way everyone else did. Renew your sub before trying to log into the game.

I'm getting the same issue but my sub is active. I haven't played for a few days and the steam launcher prompts me to choose between a new SE account or an existing SE account that DOESN'T have a FFXIV key registered. There is no third option of "I have an SE account with a FFXIV Shadowbringers key already associated with it".

I have same issue I can't log in today aswell...everytime I try to do it just send me this:

- you could not log in because the service account in question is not registered.
if you would like to log in to the service, please log in to the square enix account management system and register the service account.

anyone knows how to resolve this problem?

Same thing happening to me
I renewed my sub just now but the error message is still coming up when I log in with my account on the steam launcher

Are your keys for the specific account Retail, or Steam issued?

If they were retail, SE recently made it that the Steam Launcher doesn't recognize retail accounts. You need to either launch the game EXE outside Steam or download the retail launcher.

Just click the existing, or close out the game and reload.

Log into the account via mogstation and renew your sub. You can’t do they from the game launcher.
