Superdrug launches loyalty card
Superdrug launched its first loyalty card last week, the multiple has announced. The loyalty card will be known as the Beautycard and doubles as a mirror, with customers able to earn points online and in store. The news follows the launch of a customer loyalty card by independent support group Avicenna at their conference last month. The loyalty card will offer one point for every pound spent, and every 100 points will translate to a pound to spend in store, a spokesperson said. The Beautycard launch is accompanied by a promotion lasting until June 7, which will allow customers to earn 50 bonus points for every £5 spent on Superdrug-branded products, the multiple announced. Online customers will receive 10 points per pound on all shopping and there will be 1,000 chances to win 1,000 points every week during the same period. The launch will be supported by a national advertising campaign starring actress Joanna Page, the "face" of Superdrug. The Beautycard was designed after extensive customer research, according to the company. "Customers have always told us they would like us to launch a loyalty card. "Now we're ready to use the expertise of our parent company, AS Watson, and new technology to offer customers added value when they shop in our stores," said Superdrug commercial director Steve Jebson.
