You Have A Class In Canvas! To prevent being lost and getting dropped from your class make sure of the following: 

Make sure you log in right away to show the instructor you want to remain in the course.



For canvas courses, make sure your login page looks like the picture below. There are different canvas login pages for different colleges.



How to Log in: Username will be your A# with a capital ‘A’. Password will be the first letters from your first and last name and the last 6 numbers of your student ID# (No spaces, First letter capitalized).

Example: Jose Garcia ID: A00123456 Username: A00123456

Canvas How do I know if my class in on Canvas? If you go to TC Website => Distance Learning Home page => click on the Canvas Icon (Right side), you will be directed to the Canvas info page. There is a list of which courses will be in Etudes and Moodle. Anything not on those lists can be found on Canvas. Where do I go to access TC’s Canvas site? https://taftcollege.instructure.com Why can’t I see my course when I log in? Courses will typically open up the first day of class. Some instructors may open them earlier. If it the day class starts or later and you cannot access your online course, The instructor has not published the course and we need to let them know. Will I be dropped from my class if I do not log in on the first day? It is critical to log into your course ASAP to avoid being dropped. Instructors will drop students for not actively participating in the course the first couple days. If you are dropped there is not guarantee you will be let back in. Often times there are introductions that need to be submitted in the first days or little assignments that instructors use to see who is actively participating in the course. I just added a course and cannot log in. When will I be able to see it?

Our systems are updated every morning, so you will see the course the next day. If it has been longer than 24 hours let us know ASAP. My class disappeared. I was able to log into it and now I cannot see it. This may have to do with enrollment (being dropped). Verify student is enrolled through banner and when, contact instructor if needed.
