FAQs : fingerprint/face ID

Using fingerprint/face ID makes accessing common Target applications easy and more secure. Once you enroll, you will be able to access 100’s of common Target applications like Workday, Target Pay and Benefits, and Greenfield with the simple touch of your finger or a glance at selfie camera.
Q1. What are the prerequisites to use fingerprint/face ID ?
Just one, You should be already using face or fingerprint to unlock your device.
Q2. What are the supported devices/browsers?
Mac : Google Chrome, Safari ( Only if OS newer than Big Sur)
Windows : Google Chrome, MS Edge
IPhone : Safari (iOS 12/+)
Q3. Do you store my biometric data?
We don't store your biometric data. It stays on your device.
Q4. Do I have to re-register every time I change my lanID password?
No, registration is a one-time event. You will not be required to re-register even when you have changed your password.
Q5. Can I use fingerprint ID on my android device ?
Fingerprint ID login is not available on Android devices yet.
Q6. All of a sudden, my fingerprint ID stopped working.
If you have done OS upgrade, Laptop reset via recovery key or FileVault/KeyChain fix recently, please re-enrol.
Q7. How do I re-enroll or delete my registration ?
If you are on Target network, Please use MyLogin.
We are working on bringing same feature off Target network, until then feel free to drop us a note for deletion.
Q8. What happens to my biometric information on my device if I unregister? Is it deleted?
We don’t have access to biometrics on your phone. When you un-register, we just delink your registration from Target servers. To delete your biometric information, you should delete it on your personal device from settings menu.
Q9. What do I do if I lose my device that has my biometric data on it?
Call CSC and raise incident, we will remove your enrolment from backend so that your phone can no longer be used to login into Target resources.
Q10. How can I enroll if I previously selected to “Opt Out” of the prompt?
Click on use fingerprint/face ID link on login page and you will be prompted to enroll after login.
