Thermo Fisher Defeats Female Executive’s Bias, Contract Claims

A female former Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. executive lacked triable evidence she experienced sex discrimination, sexual harassment, or job retaliation or that the company breached her contract when she left, a North Carolina federal court ruled.

Rebecca Holland New became a Thermo Fisher employee in 2017, when it acquired Patheon Pharmaceutical Services Inc., where she had been working as an executive vice president. Her role remained largely the same at first, but according to New it was diminished over time before she resigned in October 2018.
