Access legacy Directv account

Now that you’re not ATT anymore, can I have online access to my legacy Directv account? Would like to use app for NFL Sunday Ticket before that dies, also Bill payment

Account was never linked to ATT as the a/c  number is Not in the ATT 9 digit format

thanks

AT&T did not sell DTV, they added a partner.

DirecTV is still owned by AT&T. They have simply added in a partner. AT&T retains 70%. Hopefully this means more focused support in the future.

In either case, the account is still accessed in the same manner. AT&T's acquisition didn't change the account numbers, only migrated them to an integrated login to access all services under the AT&T umbrella in one location.

So what exact issue are you having? With specific details perhaps the community can help.

The LATimes article Aug 2, 2021:

“AT&T has completed its spin-off of the satellite TV business.”
The tone of that article as well as others in the financial press give a consistent picture that, despite retaining the 70% interest in the new entity, AT&T is moving on from the unsuccessful acquisition, which is now a stand-alone company again. I see your point but I stand by my characterization of the overall business model.

Regardless of corporate shell games, my own longstanding issue is that the original acquisition of DirecTv did NOT result in “an integrated login” for many Legacy accounts. No RC1 for me! I still have only a 7 digit account # which despite repeated phone “customer service” over the last 5 years has not allowed me to access the account online via the MyAT&T app (which requires a 9 digit account number) nor be able to stream NFL Sunday Ticket.

I like my DirecTv. I just want an account number that can let me use it online!

Have you tried adding two 0's to the beginning or end?

DIRECTV legacy accounts are maintained at directv.com directly. You don't need a 9 digit account number to access your online account.

All you have to do is to create or register one by visiting this link directv.com/register

Please enter your 7 or 8 digit account number or the registered phone number for your DIRECTV account. Follow the prompts to complete the registration with username and password which you can use it on the NFLST app as well.
