He wasn't dreadful. There were no quizzes at all and the work in discussion was graded whether yo uattempted or not. He is pretty bad at relating material but you should be able to just read the book. Homework is annoying as usual, but for the most part all work other than tests are easy A's. His tests are remarkably easier than both Guillicks.

Not very approachable. I went to him for help and he looked at me like I was nuts for not understanding the material. Gave quizzes too often and the quizzes had no correlations to the tests.

Raymond seems like a nice guy but he is impossible to understand. He loves math, but he doesn't slow down or explain it in terms normal humans can understand. I generally fall asleep about halfway through lecture. It is really hard to focus in class because what he writes down is completely incomprehensible. He also says ln as log. Frustrating.

While the tests were relatively easy, Mr. Johnson did not do much to help students prepare for them, so they seemed harder than they actually were. He would breeze through the material, and he would rarely stop to ask for questions. There was little incentive to attend class. If you find yourself falling behind, I recommend getting a tutor.

His class was pretty hard, but thats something to expect for all Math 141 classes. His lectures were boring and halfway through the semester I started skipping lecture and still did ok using the book. One thing I like about him is that he drops your lowest test score from your final grade.

The class really isn't bad and you can definitely get an A with hard work. Doing all the webassigns really helps you understand better. He also curves your final grade so if your test scores are above the average (which is usually around 60), you can get an pretty satisfactory grade.

Not a great teacher. Class was pretty hard as expected but his tests always had questions that had tricks. If you didn't know the trick you were screwed. He doesn't teach the material very well. I went to lecture but learned from the book. Class is easier if you have a decent TA, if you don't sux 4 u. If you have him, listen to him say "root".LMAO

Definitely a challenging class, but it wasn't so bad. Homework schedule didn't coincide with lectures most of the time, and he explained concepts pretty well. You definitely have to work for your grade, but it's not an impossible class (if you have a good TA). Also, the book helps a lot.

The homework never stops and he rarely slows down to fully explain the material. Stay away from his classes (both undergrad and grad).

DO NOT take this man's class. He is incredibly unhelpful and it definitely didn't help that my TA didn't know what he was doing either. Horrible.
