Uttar Pradesh: Now, pay your power bill in installments

LUCKNOW: Bringing major relief to power consumers, the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has introduced an online facility to make partial payment against huge bills.
As a pilot project, the facility would be available for three months. The scheme will be beneficial for consumers, especially the elderly and those who can’t pay a heavy amount in one go.
According to MVNNL, consumers have to login in UPPCL website and select the part payment option or simply put the amount which they want to pay against the actual amount in the payable amount option to pay the bill amount partially.
Meanwhile, power minister Arvind Kumar Sharma inspected UPPCL 1912 call centre. He emphasized on running the call centre 24 hours at discom level as well as UPPCL HQ, to ensure that consumer complaints are lodged and resolved in stipulated time.
