Job Summary

The Express Critical Revenue Management Pricing Specialist provides and tracks pricing proposals for UPS Supply Chain Solutions (SCS). He/She utilizes established revenue management pricing strategies when determining customer pricing. This position acts as a departmental intermediary when other UPS Pricing groups are engaged in the pricing process.

The Express Critical Revenue Management Pricing Specialist reviews RFQs and pricing requests to understand customer drivers and ensure necessary information is provided for customer pricing formulation. He/She develops proposals and forwards to Sales and other Pricing groups to facilitate fulfillment of customer requests. This position analyzes request data with Pricing and Revenue Management tools to determine if results are within UPS’s approval guidelines. The Express Critical Revenue Management Pricing Specialist reviews report information to ensure data integrity and remedy discrepancies. He/She works with air and surface vendors to secure competitive pricing.

Other Duties

  • Follows up on outstanding proposals to determine the status of bids.

  • Reviews customer accepted pricing proposals to ensure no contract modifications occurred.

  • Updates information in bid tracking systems to monitor proposal status.

  • Addresses pricing-related questions to provide supplemental information requested by Sales after initial proposal.

  • Engages other pricing groups to address price RFQs that include multiple geographies, products, services, and/or business units to ensure the most complete and accurate information.

  • Works with contract and legal departments to confirm pricing details on contracts and agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance to policies.

  • Works with basic direction from analyst and completes necessary analysis to support approval.

  • Reviews customer accepted pricing proposals to ensure no contract modifications occurred.

  • Applies Marketing Knowledge: Demonstrates a basic understanding of the components of marketing strategies and the process of product design, development, packaging and promotion; works closely with others to identify some of the information necessary for developing marketing and sales plans.

  • Solicits and Gathers Information: Demonstrates a general knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information.

  • Report Generation: Possesses ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software, and/or writing basic queries; identifies information required to complete reports and identifies existing reports generated by others.

  • Supply Chain Management: Demonstrates a basic understanding of supply chain concepts; identifies issues within a supply chain.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

  • Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself

  • Must have experience with Pricing Proposals

  • Must have knowledge of report generation (writing queries, identifying information)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree – Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business, Logistics - Preferred
