    Quizzes are multiple choice and don't always follow text definitions. Academic papers are treated like thesis papers. Good and bad. Opinionated tough grading received a 97 in 101, B average in this course. Online blackboard is confusingly overdone. She is that english teacher you dont want if you are trying to get scholarship based on GPA. Run!

    This teacher is a sweetie pie, but she is a VERY tough grader. If you think your paper is good, think again. She'll mark the smallest spelling/grammar mistake and will take soooo many points off for it. I know it's an english class, but DANG. I didn't realize a misplace comma could bring my paper down to a C.

    Love her! Ive taken two courses with her before and each time Ive loved it. Shes funny and gives you a BUNCH of resources to help you pass. She makes literature classes fun and entertaining

    I took this class online. The online format was confusing at first and took a few weeks to get used to it. Prof. Owens is reachable out of class and will spend time explaining things until it is understood. The class was challenging.

    If you're looking for a professor who teaches English, but doesn't grade fairly tough, she is for you. If you are studying something outside of English, she understands this stuff doesn't interest you, and helps you get through the class. Lectures are fairly simple, pay attention, say hi to her, and do your work and you'll end up with an A.
