VyStar Credit Union members experience delays as mobile banking app goes down
Online and mobile app use has been off the table for VyStar Credit Union members for more than a week, so showing up in person or calling a customer service number have been the options available."I have a lot of problems. I can't check into my account online," customer Carla Garcia-Mendoza said. Her husband can't make routine trips to the branch. He's an over-the-road trucker."It's been very, very hard. They want me to go to the ATM every day, two, three times a day," Jameson Mendoza said. Earlier in the day, the message on the Vystar site read: "Online & Mobile Banking Unavailable. Our teams are working as quickly as we can to resolve issues.""I can't pay my credit cards. I can't make any transfers online like I'm normally entitled to," Mendoza said. The issue was a technology update that didn't launch properly more than a week ago."Rest assured, your accounts, balances and transactions are safe, secure and accurate on our core systems," Vystar assured in its messaging. Meaning your business was to be done in person or over the phone, customers were told at the branch level."I have to wait, wait. They can do nothing about it," Garcia-Mendoza said. As the days pile up for a lack of access online, customers are frustrated."For almost two weeks, I can't log in to see my accounts, my checking, my savings, my business savings," Mendoza said. But mid-afternoon, a new message on the Vystar website: "You can access your account via computer or mobile browser ... Due to high demand, you may experience a delay."
