Monthly Enrollment Verification and W.A.V.E.

W.A.V.E. is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week. You can check the status of your enrollment, update your personal information, update your direct deposit information, and report changes to your enrollment directly to the Federal U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. You MUST verify your enrollment every month, on the last day of the month, if you are currently enrolled in Chapters 30, or 1606. Your monthly payment will not be processed until you verify your enrollment for the month.

How do I log-in to W.A.V.E.?

Go to the W.A.V.E. website and simply follow the log-in instructions. For first time users, enter your file number (for most people this is your social security number) and your password will be the last 6 digits of your social security number. You will immediately be prompted to change your password. It is recommended that you enter an email address for monthly reminders to verify, because if you forget to verify on the last day of the month, your payment will be delayed until you remember to verify.

Can I verify over the phone?

If you do not have internet access or prefer not to use the internet to verify your enrollment, you may call 1-877-823-2378 to verify by phone and just follow the prompts. Please note that changes cannot be made over the phone as the system is automated. You will need to use the W.A.V.E. system for any changes in enrollment, personal information or direct deposit.

**Please note that "verifying" and "certifying" your enrollment are two different procedures. "Certification" is done by a school or training official and lets the VA know how many hours or credits you will be enrolled in so the VA can determine your payment rate. "Verification" is done by you at the end of each month and lets the VA know that your enrollment information has not changed.**
