Wi-fi login landing page

I have had some issues with a windows 10 PC getting to the wi-fi login page. I have a co-worker who has had the same issues at the same hotel. My co-worker called the front desk but couldn't get it resolved. I gave up since my phone had access.

Are there any tips/tricks to get the login page to load? I have tried a static page on S3 servers that gets around chrome trying to stop insecure traffic but that didn't work.

Thanks in advance

Go to a site which uses http only, such as http://x.com or Look up fares for any train journey in Britain

This might not be allowed on some work computers if it's IT department policy

So this actually means you don't have to use a new browser each time/day of your stay at the same hotel? Was using Chrome / Samsung / Firefox / Edge, never ran out of browsers, but is was a real pain in the apps.

How different my stays at IHG hotels worked this year. Simply connect your wifi to "IHG Connect". Connection page says: "Hi and welcome, is it YOU again?" and you check "Yes, it is me" - and you're in. No name, no room number, no access code. This even worked at a different IHG-hotel I wasn't staying that night. As far as I remember, both Hilton and IHG are using "msftconnect" in the background.
