  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Incoming transfer students are automatically considered for our Transfer Scholarships. Awards range from $5,000 to $10,000 per year. Transfer students are eligible for scholarships if they have a 3.0 GPA and enroll full-time at Seton Hall University. Transfer students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society are automatically awarded an additional $2,000 scholarship. Proof of Phi Theta Kappa membership, is required.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    In general, Seton Hall admits students who have maintained a cumulative GPA of above 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) at an accredited institution of higher learning. Certain majors may require a higher GPA.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit official transcripts for all colleges/universities. If you have earned fewer than 24 college level credits (excluding developmental or ESL classes), you need to submit official high school transcripts for all schools attended.
  • Application Fee:
    Applying to Seton Hall as a transfer student is easy. You can apply using Seton Hall’s online application or through the Common Application. The application fee is $55.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Many of the core requirements will be waived for any student who has an Associates of Arts (AA) or Associates of Science (AS) degree. However, students with Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree are not eligible for the core waiver.
  • Other Requirements:
    Nursing requirements differ.
