The WGAL News 8 On Your Side team has heard from a growing number of viewers who are wondering why their Turkey Hill gift cards and loyalty cards aren't being accepted.
Allen Wells, of Conestoga, said he asked a clerk about the issue.
"They said the system wasn't equipped to handle it. They didn't know when or if they would be able to accommodate it," he said.
Two months ago, the Turkey Hill Minit Markets were sold to the EG Group in England. Consumer reporter Brian Roche contacted the company directly, and a representative acknowledged the card system isn't working.
"This has been a miserable interruption for our customers," said Cindy Rantanen. "The connection from the company that manages the Turkey Hill Gift Card balances did not work correctly. The values are still on all of the cards. Once this is fixed, all cards will work as they did previously."
Until the system is fixed, customers will not get credit for any purchases made on their loyalty cards.
"I go to Turkey Hill to get the discount on the gas. Gas is so expensive that it's an added benefit to get a discount on the gas," Wells said.
