A lot of grocery stores lately have been jumping on the home delivery bandwagon. Amazon is partnering with Whole Foods to ship groceries, and even fast food giant McDonald’s is rolling out home delivery.

Leslie Yang has a hard time getting to the grocery store and literally goes whenever she can even if that means when it's pitch black outside.

“No one wants to be out grocery shopping at 8 at night that's just not how it's meant to be," Yang said.

She said it's tedious and she could use all the help she can get.

Meijer said it's new delivery service is designed for people like Leslie.

"Whether it's your mobile devices or apps to manage your life, our consumers are feeling much more comfortable shopping on line, and so this is sort of the evolution of how consumers can shop for groceries," Art Sebastian said.

The store is partnering with Shipt for home delivery. Customers place their orders and pay with a credit card through the Shipt app. The groceries are then delivered to their home.

Meijer said college students, and business professionals have also tried it in addition to parents like Leslie.
