NEW YORK CITY - Touchtunes has launched a promotional program designed to generate awareness of National Jukebox Day. This falls on the day before Thanksgiving: Wednesday, Nov. 21 this year.

From now until the great day, consumers who make use of the TouchTunes mobile app to play a song at two or more locations  will be entered automatically in a sweepstakes offering a chance to win a year of free Everywhere Credits. These can be used to play music on any mobile-enabled TouchTunes jukebox.

In addition, 50 runner-up mobile app users will win 50 free Everywhere Credits each. Click here for the sweepstakes rules.

In 2016, the registrar at National Day Calendar, in partnership with TouchTunes, officially declared the day before Thanksgiving as National Jukebox Day. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving has become a de facto holiday when friends and family come together to reminisce, rekindle friendships and play great jukebox music at local bars, restaurants and other social establishments nationwide.

To further drive awareness and amplify celebration of National Jukebox Day, TouchTunes has partnered with Rhino Records and iconic rock-band Foreigner to feature the band's hit song "Juke Box Hero" across promotional messaging and exclusive video content. Click here for a special National Jukebox Day message from Foreigner founder and guitarist Mick Jones.

In addition, members of TouchTunes' bar staff loyalty program, Bar Rewards, can win prizes by promoting National Jukebox Day on their bar signs and submitting photos of the resulting displays.

Click here for a history of the jukebox along with exclusive jukebox-related stories from popular artists and downloadable digital creative that fans and venues can use across social media and websites.

The contest will go live on Nov. 12 and entrants must belong to Bar Rewards to enter and qualify to win.

Finally, TouchTunes is working with a number of partners to help promote the holiday. One of them is Foursquare, which will be celebrating National Jukebox Day with posts to its social accounts and with a home screen takeover on National Jukebox Day that will drive Foursquare app users to find and play a nearby TouchTunes jukebox.

TouchTunes administers an interactive music and entertainment platform for more than 65,000 bars and restaurants across North America.
