Triumph account and multiplayer

Hi there I just bought this game on steam and am a bit confused in regards to how to access multiplayer. I saw the post about the form being moved here but tried to create a triumph account anyways. I made it a while ago now I still haven't received an activation email. Are triumph accounts still a thing and if they aren't how do I get multiplayer working?

Anyone able to answer this? I bought AoW 3 through Gog.com and it is a struggle just to play single player (I am not a multi-player guy so I don't care about that) because of the 'Create a Triumph account' thing.

Man I hope someone can answer this I bought the game at release and therefore have no idea how triumph accounts are created now that they have been purchased by paradox.
Are the links to create an account not working when you start the game or what? Maybe you should ask the paradox support.
