Here’s some good news for Aldi shoppers! Your go-to store for organic food, European cheese and recommended buys at remarkable prices is offering delivery via Instacart across the country.

The company’s pilot program tested out Instacart delivery in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas and Chicago back in 2017. It proved to be an epic success, with responses described as “overwhelmingly positive.” Now the service has rolled out to more than 5,000 ZIP codes in 36 states (including 75 major markets, such as San Diego, New York City, Miami, Raleigh and Minneapolis). And you can sign up for Aldi’s grocery delivery service today!

In case you’re wondering, here are five (5!) excellent reasons to start grocery delivery. And if you love coming home to fresh groceries at your door, you’ll love having a prepped dinner waiting for you even more.

How Aldi grocery delivery works

Through the Instacart partnership, you can order whatever you’d usually buy at Aldi via Instacart’s website or app. (Including packaged foods plus fresh fruit and vegetables, organic and antibiotic-free meats and more.) Instacart shops for you, picking up all the items you ordered and then delivering them to your home.

Here’s what you have to do:

  • Create your Instacart account
  • Enter your delivery ZIP code
  • Shop for your everyday Aldi products
  • Choose a delivery window—anywhere from an hour or up to a week later
  • Check out!

The service is reported to cost $5.99 plus a slight surcharge on Aldi products vs. in store. You can skip the delivery fee by paying $14.99 a month for an Express Membership through Instacart, but that’s probably best for super-frequent shoppers.

The best part? Aldi delivers your boozy favorites

If you thought the good news stopped there, it doesn’t. Back in December of 2019, Aldi announced alcohol, like the amazing (and returning) pineapple mimosa, is now available for grocery pickup and delivery. Of course, customers must be at least 21 years of age, and alcohol delivery may not be available in every zip code. Still, it’s worth it to browse Instacart—just in case. But do you know the deal with Aldi’s saver tags? They’re one of the many Aldi secrets to look out for while you’re shopping.

You will get all the perks of shopping at Aldi without having to run errands!
