My company ************** has been advertising with Angi's Ads for several months. They convinced the last owner of the company that if he doubled the amount of money that he would get more leads. After doubling the ad budget, we received no additional leads. When I bought the company I tried to contact Angi's Ads to stop the excess payments that don't add anything and go back to the original contract. The client success manager refuses to accept calls or emails. For two months I tried daily to contact my client success manager. When I spoke to someone at Angi's they said I cannot change or cancel my service without speaking to ****. They just keep taking $5,000 per month and refuse to communicate with me or allow me to cancel or change my service. This avoidance is being used as a tactic to force me to continue to pay them this additional service that I do not want.Customer Answer

Angi's is repeatedly providing "fake" leads to contractors. Customer name was ******** ***, asking for a "Asphalt Shingle Roof on a residential building".The address points to a giant apartment building with rubber membrane flat roof (it cannot get a asphalt shingle roof) and the client does not answer calls. So I requested a credit. Denied almost immediately. I called in and explained to a customer service **** denied this time immediately. I asked why it was denied and she told me she could not say. So I demanded a supervisor and was promptly transferred. He simply said "The ***************** states this customer is asking for an estimate still for an asphalt shingle roof" then said there was nothing he can do.I called the customer, he didn't answer. How did **********************'s get a call in within 2 seconds of denying me? I was lied to clearly. Regardless its a business with a flat roof, simply refund me for being a "wrong category" job. He repeated telling me there is nothing he can do. I got heated but didnt curse and told him "look up the address, at least verify that I am correct". He simply said no - the customer is looking for an estimate and your credit was denied and then the line disconnected.I didnt curse, I didnt yell... I was essentially robbed of $224 and then hung up on. Angi's this isnt enough money for me to go to court on - but it is for me to look up a class action lawsuit and submit my case to them. I hope you guys amend your process and create a process where you verify and not lie to your customers.Business Response

Date of transaction was June 30 2025. I requested a home theater installer to install speakers in ceiling and run speaker wires through attic and walls. Angi did not inform the installer of the details of the job. The pro they sent did not seem to have much knowledge of speaker ceiling installation, running wires through walls, audio receivers, types of speakers. He did not come with standard tools for home theater installation such as a cutting 9 inch holes in ceiling sheetrock and pulling wires through walls.. installer did not have proper experience or skills in home theater. Only part of the job was completed because of lack of knowledge about the work.Business Response

I had a service request for a handyman to come to my new *********** mount my TV's and put up my curtain rods. The problem occurred due to the fact that I live in ********, ALL Companies have the ability to get a decal for your service men to come onto the premises to perform work at $0 additional fee. I created a guest pass for 1 day for him to complete the job and just received a bill for $30 (4 wheel daily ******) which means Angi does not have a decal for their technicians to perform repairs here so I was charged $30. The technician said he has several clients on ******** so I am completely lost for words as to why I assessed a fee. I need the fee to be covered or taken out of the charges paid to ANGI for his services. I just got off the phone with customer service and spoke to *** who had no resolution & offered nothing to correct this issue. I requested a Supervisor and she said it will take 48 hours for one to call me back. I explained that is not acceptable and I will file a corporate complaint & request the call be pulled for coaching opportunity.Business Response

We appreciate Vita bringing this to our attention and we apologize for any frustrations regarding the $30 fee she was charged by her community. Our pros that arrive to complete the customer's scheduled bookings are independent contractors and are not employed by Angi, so they are not required to display any of our logos. We have refunded $30 back to Vita's card, and a supervisor reached out to her via phone and email to address her concerns as requested, but was not able to get in touch with her. Vita is welcome to reply to the supervisor's email to provide a date and time for us to reach back out to her.Initial Complaint

Set up an account with ********************** list and was sold exclusivity in my service area for my type of leads. After 7 days with my account active I notice other contractors biding my jobs from Angies platform. I phoned the company and asked for a review of the original sales call. Stating that I purchased exclusivity! They said they dont offer. After requesting for a review of the original sales call I never heard from them. When I called to cancel my account they ran $2,560.25 and ****** on my account that wasnt authorized. I have filled a complaint with my bank directly.Business Response

I signed a 1 year agreement with Angie leads under the promise of receiving advertising services and quality leads. I paid $280 a month. Expecting a $400 ad credit but receive 0 leads in the previous month. I received 6 scam calls, which cost me $30 per lead, totaling 180 for fake inquiries. Despite contacting Angie, they have not resolved the issue. Or refunded my money. This is not the service. I agree to and I believe the Qualifies as non performance. I request to be released from the contract without penalty and refunded the $280 from this month.Business Response

She recently spoke with her Client Success Manager and clarified that she would like to keep one and cancel the other, per her concerns stated in this complaint. We can confirm that we have cancelled the requested contract and will waive the early termination fee, along with a refund that was processed on 7/1 as requested. A representative will be reaching out to Kayla for confirmation of this, and she is welcome to reach back out if she has any additional questions or concerns.Customer Answer

I entered into a 12-mo contract with Angi Leads under the impression that the total cost would be $735 based on my conversation with the first sales rep. ** was not made clear that this was a monthly rate, which totaled annually over $9,000. When I spoke with a second rep. they asked if the cost had been made clear, I said yes but the truth is, I didnt fully understand and didnt feel comfortable pushing back because I urgently needed leads. Since starting the service, I have encountered significant issues with cost clarity and service quality. A large portion of the leads I received were non-legitimate or unusable: individuals attempting check fraud, job seekers who were not actually looking for services, people who claimed they submitted the request by accident, and many others who never answered at all. While I have received a few good leads (about 5 in total), this is far below the volume and value I was led to expect, especially at the price point Im paying. This has put me in a financial situation where I can no longer justify the ongoing $735/month charge, and Im unable to afford the 35% cancellation fee, especially given the service performance.I reached out to Angi by email, hoping to resolve this respectfully and professionally, but I was directed to phone support without any written acknowledgment of my concerns. I also requested a written follow-up, which was not provided. In researching this issue, *** found that many other small businesses report similar experiences with Angi: unclear pricing at the time of agreement, leads are not genuine or viable, and excessive cancellation fees. These complaints appear frequently on BBB and contractor forums. I am asking Angi to consider a waiver of the cancellation fee based on an honest pricing misunderstanding and the poor quality of the leads received, a written review of my lead activity and service performance, as well as a full refund for non-viable or fraudulent leads.Business Response

Originally, I was told that I had ********************************************************************************** that there an early termination fee, but I had 15 days in order to change my mind. Once that was told to me then the recording started so the 15 days was not recorded. I tried to cancel within 10 days and was told that I could not do it and withoutmy permission was charged over $4000. So in order to save my business I agreed to a lesser contract with a refund of my $4800 That was 26 days ago first I was told it would take 7 to 10 days. Then I was told it would take 14 . Then I was told it would take 20 to 25 days. Today is the 26th day and all Ive been getting is the runaround. I have called time and time again to either get disconnected passed off to another person to re-enter my information and to no avail. I am dissatisfied and very irritated and need my money back on my account so that I may continue to run my business.Business Response

I am writing to express my concern about the lack of leads that I have been receiving for my business through Angi leads. They have promised a certain number of leads but have not delivered the amount I pay for any time during our agreement. I sometimes go 7 to 8 days with no leads, and half of the ones that I do receive are fake leads with people asking for work or hackers. At this point, this service is becoming dangerous to even use. When I receive spam leads, they ask me to report them, and they offer to replace them, but they never do. For the last monthly cycle, I received around 26 leads, and half of them were fake leads that they never replaced. I was told that I can cancel the service without paying the termination fee, but when I tried to do that, the guy over my account decided not to respond. We had a call scheduled, and he did not even get on the call. His colleagues had to literally beg him to respond to me, which he never did. The guy's name is ******* *****. I will upload the emails from our interactions and the email from his colleagues asking him to please respond to me, which he never did. I talked to another lady who was extremely rude when I mentioned terminating the contract. I do not feel confident that they have the leads that they promise due to the lack of work that they send my way. I asked them how can we correct this so that I am getting my moneys worth and they told me to pay more, so I reluctantly increased my amount for this cycle and I am still not receiving any new leads, this is a scam and I want to terminate my contract if this month does not go well. I just want to stop being ripped off, I was told by ******* ***** that I could terminate the contract if they did not produce and we are at that time now. I am tired of fake leads and hackers trying to steal my info. I just want to cut ties if they cannot give the service that they promise. I would also like a refund for all the months that they did not meet the agreement.Business Response

I contracted the service for 12 months and took only one week to realize it was a total scam. I tried to ask for help but I just received the same vague answer "this is what you signed up for". BUT NO, I didn't signed up for a lead that leads you to a wrong number twice. ******* ***** and ******* ***** are two different leads, and when I call to the extensions provided by Angi, (what I understand every customer write themselves their phone number so Angi can connect them with the Pro or the contractor) There is the same person picking up the phone on the other line, of course wrong number, BUT THE SAME PERSON? who can be that possible and the **************** on ********************** will say that that is what I've signed up for.Business Response
