I have received threatening collection letters from both ************************ and Countrywide collections for an alleged debt that I have never been given specifics on. Amounts differ but both indicate Cashnetusa. I don't know if this is a scam or just illegal credit collection practices as I don't have any record of this alleged debt. I have filed separate complaints on ************** and Countrywide. I would like them to stop contacting me and stop contacting my family and friends. Attached to this complaint are 2 letters I received.

I am paying them back for a loan. They told me my payment would be $225 a month. They are taking out $372.40 a month ($222.40 plus $150). This is causing overdraft charges ($30 x 3). I called them to talk to them about it. They told me it takes two to three months to get everything lined up. I get paid once a month on the 12th. I want them to adjust the payment to the amount I agreed to when I took the loan. They were trying to say I owe it every two weeks, but they fixed it. I did not agree to having two payments a month. I could not afford it that way.

Thank you for forwarding this customer complaint. We take all complaints seriously and make every effort to implement a fair and satisfactory resolution.

On May 23, 2023, ******************** opened a $1,500.00 limit line of credit with CashNetUSA. Before she entered into the agreement, CashNetUSA disclosed the terms and conditions of the Line of Credit including the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for Cash Advances, Paying Interest, and Fees. ******************** then signed her agreement acknowledging that she understood and accepted the terms and conditions associated with the Line of Credit. The fees and interest applicable to a cash advance were fully set forth in the agreement, a copy of which was provided to her (via email) when she opened the account. ******************** signed an Automated Clearing House (ACH)authorization allowing credits and debits to be made to her bank account.

******************** indicated that her pay frequency is Monthly on a specific date;(ex. 1st of every month) therefore, the repayment dates were scheduled accordingly.

In addition to disclosing the charging structure from the outset, we keep our customers informed by supplying periodic statements. Amongst other loan details, the due date, minimum payment amount, and account balance are shown on each periodic statement are sent to ******************** via email.

As set forth in Ms. ********* line of credit agreement, customers are required to make at least a minimum payment every billing period where a balance was outstanding. Contrary to ************************ assertion, she was never advised that her minimum payments would be $225.00 a month.

Please be advised, a customer may utilize our calculate my payment tool to provide an estimated payment amount and schedule. However, the tool only provides an estimate if a customer makes all payments, and doesnt take any additional draws.

Since establishing the account, ******************** has requested three (3) cash advances. ******************** has the right to make a payment in advance and in any amount on the loan agreement at any time without incurring additional charges. Additional payments may reduce the total amount of interest she is scheduled to pay under the Agreement.

Based on our review, on January 30, 2024, ******************** contacted our customer support team via email to advise that she is paid on the 3rd of each month and advised that she cannot make biweekly payments. As such, we replied to her email, advising that her repayment due dates were never scheduled biweekly. However, we will update her repayment due date to the 3rd of each month. In addition, we advised ******************** to please allow 2-3 billing cycles to align her repayment days with her new pay frequency. Therefore, we advised for her, to please contact our customer support team directly to request a due date adjustment once she has received notification of her billing statement.

Further in our review, ******************* had a payment due on February 12, 2024. However, on February 8, 2024,******************** logged into her online account and adjusted the due date to March 12, 2024. Please note, a confirmation email was sent to her advising her as such. In addition, ******************** also had a regularly scheduled payment due on March 12, 2024, resulting in two (2) payments due on the same day.

Thank you for forwarding this complaint. CashNetUSA takes all complaints seriously and makes every effort to implement a fair and satisfactory resolution.

On September 30, 2023, ****************** opened a $1,900.00 limit line of credit with CashNetUSA. Before she entered the agreement, CashNetUSA disclosed the terms and conditions of the Line of Credit including the Annual Percentage Rate (APR)for Cash Advances, Paying Interest, and Fees. ****************** then signed her agreement acknowledging that she understood and accepted the terms and conditions associated with the Line of Credit. In addition to disclosing the charging structure from the outset, we keep our customers informed by supplying periodic statements. Amongst other loan details, the due date, minimum payment amount, and account balance are shown on each periodic statement.

As set forth in Ms. ******** line of credit agreement, customers are required to make at least a minimum payment every billing period where a balance is outstanding.

Based on our review, Ms. ******** total account balance was $2,335.69. On March 7,2024, ****************** scheduled to pay $2,061.81 on March 8, 2024.

Please note, the total balance includes the balance of $2,061.81 in addition to her a regularly scheduled minimum payment of $273.88 that was due on March 8, 2024 (i.e. $2,061.81 + $273.88 = $2,335.69). A confirmation email was sent to her advising that a payment of $2,061.81 and her minimum payment of $273.88 will be deducted out of her bank account. Please be advised that payments are scheduled the business day prior to a due date. Therefore, the regularly scheduled payment of $273.88 was deducted from the total outstanding balance. The *** is asking for $5,000 in back taxes and interest due in a few days on the $28,139 that Cash Net claims they wrote off for me. Im a single mom and current cancer patient. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.

When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this business, please let the business know that you contacted BBB for a BBB Business Profile.
