For parents of students in grades PK-3:
Please contact your child’s classroom teacher for your child’s username and a temporary password.
Then go to cps.edu/portal and type in the username (make sure you are using just the username - the part before @cps.edu) and temporary password. Click on the eyeball in the password field to make sure the password is correct.
Click on Sign In and a message should show up saying that your password is expired and to CLICK HERE to change it.
Click the CLICK HERE and change the password to something you will remember. From here it is like a regular Gmail account and any teacher emails will be in the inbox.
For parents and students in Grades 4-8: Students who do not know their passwords can use the self-service student account management portal at cps.edu/portal to reset/change/set up their accounts.
