A hub for activities by students, athletes, faculty and staff, the Lopes Performance Center is integral to the success of every team and individual associated with GCU's athletic programs. Located in close proximity to the majority of GCU's athletic facilities, the LPC is open year-round and houses the Performance Athletics and Sports Medicine facilities.

Since opening in October of 2010, the performance center is home to the year-round training regimen that each team endures while pursuing WAC and national titles. The 65,554-square-foot facility houses the primary strength and conditioning facility on campus, including more than $500,000 worth of state-of-the-art equipment.

The LPC features strength and conditioning areas open to all student-athletes and three basketball/volleyball courts. The Sanctuary is a multipurpose room used to provide student-athletes with yoga, pilates and spin classes, while teams have a multimedia room at their disposal to review games. With the renovations that were completed in the summer of 2018, the downstairs weight room, designated to GCU's NCAA student-athletes, expanded by 7,106 square feet with the addition of a refueling station and additional weightlifting space.
