It seems so personal when you try to talk to a representative these days. I have been a member with them for a long time, since 2013, and have been on time with my payments. But if you ask for help, you can forget it. If you need to pay rent or are short on something, they do not help. They don't care; it's a terrible credit union. I just want to pay them off and never deal with them again. They do not care at all about your situation, especially when you have been paying on time. They will not help.

This Credit Union is very inadequate.
My credit score was recently impacted because their online feature deliberately makes it difficult to enable auto payment. I then left the country to mobilize with my Reserve Unit and, while away, had no access to my mailbox. They only sent notices of my missed payments (solely because my auto payment was not set up "correctly") via physical mail, which I could not access while overseas for Reserve Service. I attempted to work with them to help remedy my credit score, but they refused. I now have 80 fewer points on my credit score because I chose to go overseas in service to my country.

I will never do business with Langley Federal Credit Union again! I don't care if they have the best rates or are the last financial institution on this planet! I will pay higher rates or go without before I give this organization one cent of my money! I do not understand how I can go into a CO-OP Shared branch, they electronically transfer money out of my account to my loan account with Langley, and this isn't a verified transaction? The money is removed instantly from my account, and it instantly pays off the loan, with the loan removed from my portal, yet there is a 10-day hold? Trying to request that when the electronic loan is released to the DMV, to please send it to their Emergency folder, so I can pick up the title in person from the DMV customer service center, to be told by multiple employees, this doesn't qualify as an emergency, despite what the DMV criteria states on their website? Then after explaining it to them, quoting the DMV website, to be told, "Well, I don't know how the DMV operates." If you don't know, then don't tell someone how things work. And if you work in a position that manages processes, then maybe you need to understand the processes before you either tell someone false information or flat out lies! I feel as if I've been run around in circles. Pathetic! I will never recommend this organization to anyone!

Car financed through Langley, never again! Very difficult to speak with a human; the ridiculous automated phone service is so frustrating. When making my initial payments, I had a very hard time talking to someone who could tell me how to do something as simple as making a payment on the website. I spoke with several people who had different views on how to find the "make a payment" on the web page that didn't require clicking on this and that to find the correct make a payment.
I would definitely not recommend this company for your financing needs based on my experience.

Worst Credit Union ever. Two payments that were sent to them never posted. Each time I called, I was given an excuse about the weather or it was probably sitting on someone's desk who was not in that day. No one took responsibility for tracking the payments. Instead, I was given different numbers and told to call to see if they had the check. In both instances, stop payments were issued since Langley couldn't find the check. One check was sent from Bill Pay and the other was sent priority mail from my car dealership. This institution has systemic problems. As soon as the dealership check posts (fingers crossed), I am paying the loan off and will sever ties with Langley completely.

I have amazing credit. I always pay on time and have never missed a payment. They will send you misleading advertisements and "offers" that you won't be eligible for your account. Wasted a hard inquiry for nothing. When I called customer service, the manager Abigail was extremely rude and outright refused to help in any way. If you care about your credit score and interest rates, do not go with this bank. They refused to help the customer in any respect. They even said I would have to pay for them to do anything.

I've banked with Langley Credit Union for 30 years, and they won't let me open a business account because my credit score isn't high enough! That's how much they value their longtime account holders. Not just car loans, their service, their calls, wait times, customer service—everything is subpar. I have to drive 10 to 30 minutes to even get service no matter where I am in Hampton Roads. The one off of Volvo Parkway is terrible; this little short, bald-headed lady will watch you stand in line and she won't say anything to you. She will just type and type. She will have you standing there for 30 minutes while her coworkers take person after person. If you don't enjoy serving customers, why work there? I can't stand Langley.

I just got a car loan with Langley. Two months in, it is impossible to speak to a live person. I've had the loan since April 29, 2024. I've made six attempts; no one will call back, and they make it impossible to pay towards the principal. They make it so difficult. I wish I had done some research before taking this loan with this establishment. Chat is an absolute joke.

Love the credit union, but today I called the 1800 number and talked to Sheneal. Sheneal was not polite. When talking to Sheneal, she did not provide good customer service, which created tension throughout the call. Normally, I do not experience that with a Langley representative. I hope in the future Sheneal can address people in a courteous manner. I would have given the credit union five stars, but chose to give it 4 stars because of Sheneal's lack of customer service.

Horrible, horrible service. They have charged me outrageous late fees every month, always saying my payment hits on the 18th or 19th when I send it on the 5th. When I called customer service, they said, "I don't know what to tell you." Run away from this company!
