Forms of Payment

We accept the following forms of payment as noted below. 

Credit Cards
We accept the following credit cards as a form of payment for your cruise reservation, online shore excursion purchases, spa service purchases and Fun Shop gift purchases as well as deposit toward your onboard Sail & Sign account.

PayPal and MasterPass by MasterCard
We accept the following digital payment methods if your cruise reservation is made directly with Carnival. This form of payment can only be made online by accessing  'Manage My Booking' on Carnival.com and choosing 'Pay Now'.  

  • PayPal: Secure shopping made faster. Choose whichever payment method you prefer to make your purchase (credit card, debit card, bank account or PayPay balance). PayPal cannot be used for a reservation within a Group booking. 
  • MasterPass by MasterCard: The simplest, most convenient way, most trusted digital wallet that simplifies the checkout process for purchases online and in stores. 


Carnival Gift Card

We accept the Carnival Gift Card as a form of payment (USD only) for your cruise reservation, online shore excursion purchases, spa service purchases and Fun Shop gift purchases as well as deposit toward your onboard Sail & Sign account. At this time, we are not able to accept the Carnival Gift Card to purchase gift orders by telephone order.

If you use your Carnival Gift Card and then later cancel, any refund due back will be sent in the form of a new Carnival Gift Card. It will be mailed to the address on the booking profile and take 5-10 business days. If the booking was made through a travel agency, we will need to obtain your address in order to mail out a new Carnival Gift Card.


Gift Cards

We accept the following gift cards as a form of payment for your cruise reservation, online shore excursion purchases, spa service purchases and Fun Shop gift purchases as well as deposit toward your onboard Sail & Sign account. Please note* - The American Express Gift Card cannot be used as deposit toward your onboard Sail & Sign account.

It is important to retain the credit card gift card in the event of cancellation and refund due. You will need to call the gift card issuing bank (800 number listed on the back of the card) and provide the gift card number used in order for them to issue a new gift card for the credit due.


Debit Cards

We accept the following Debit Cards as a form of payment for your cruise reservation, online shore excursion purchases, spa service purchases and Fun Shop purchases as well as deposit toward your onboard Sail & Sign account.

  • MasterCard Debit Card
  • Visa Debit Card


Personal Checks
We accept personal checks (USD only) as a form of payment for your cruise reservation. Please note the following:

  • A personal check (sent via mail) is accepted as a form of payment up to 21 business days prior to the sail date. Checks should be made out to Carnival Cruise Line – for mailing information, click here.
  • We prefer check payment be submitted through Check by Phone (CBP). These checks will be accepted up to10 business days prior to the sail date.
  • Any check returned due to non-sufficient funds (NSF) will be charged $25 USD.
 
BACS and CHAPS
BACS and CHAPS are payment terms for the British banking system and are methods for transferring funds (GBP only) from one party to another. BACS and CHAPS cannot be accepted within 7 days of sailing.
  • Bankers Automated Clearing Services (BACS) can take up to 3 days to complete; fee dependent on bank.
  • Clearing House Automated Payment System (CHAPS) is used for urgent payments; there is a fee from the bank for this same day service.

 

Financing Powered by Uplift
Uplift offers a flexible payment option to guests. With an approved loan through Uplift, guests will have affordable monthly payments and control over their finances. Guests can make their initial down payment and future loan payments using a Debit Card or ACH payment - ACH payments are electronic debits that pull funds directly from the guest's checking account.

Last Minute Bookings

For bookings when payment must be received by Carnival Cruise Line in less than 24 hoursonly the following forms of payment will be accepted for your cruise reservation.

  • Western Union ‘Quick Collect’ (USD only)
  • MoneyGram Express Payment (USD only)
