We as a married couple, have been enrolled members for WorldVentures for over 6 years now. We still have not taken a DreamTrip. We booked our first DreamTrip right before COVID-19 hit the USA. We used over $600 from our bank account to book the trip. We then got COVID and we're unable to go on the trip. I spoke with a Rovia representative who told us we could file a dispute and get our cash back or receive Rovia bucks and book a different date/trip. We received Rovia bucks and were told they wouldn't expire. We tried to use the Rovia bucks, but were told we were unable to use them like real money for hotels, etc. We just want our money back. Our trip was cancelled not because of our fault but because of this pandemic. I have all of the emails and documentation with the Rovia employee who was really trying to help us rebook and work everything out. I have now reached out to them multiple times and have not received any response for months. DreamTrips has now cancelled Rovia bucks and completely taken our $600. I got an email from them saying, from "now on" any transaction done with real money will be refunded real money, any transaction done with points will be refunded with points. This is completely unacceptable. We want our money back. We've paid $70 a month for 6 years and have gotten nothing from the membership, that's over $5,000; we could've taken that money and paid off medical bills from having our baby this year or used it to take a real vacation. We want to be compensated for this headache and also receive our money back that was used to buy the trip that was cancelled due to COVID. It's not fair that WorldVentures is taking advantage of real people with real lives and jobs that are just trying to put food on the table and make enough to get by. It's sad enough we live paycheck to paycheck with this dream to travel, that we were taken advantage of and have lost over $5,600. Please help us to settle this.

I have been charged by WorldVentures for services that I did not request and have not used. I believe that these charges are fraudulent. Contact requests to figure out how these transactions were initiated are never answered and call return requests are never returned. I have had to pay my bank to block withdrawals. If this company is at all legitimate and not just a scam, I would like to talk with a representative and make sure this never happens again.

I'd been paying a monthly fee for a year to WorldVentures but for some reason, the autopayments had stopped getting processed in Nov 2020. Without notifying me of the missed payments, WorldVentures cancelled my account in Jan 2021. When I noticed that the autopayments had stopped, I called WorldVentures and was told that if I resumed payments within 1 year of my last monthly payment, my account would be reactivated and all of my points that had accumulated would become valid again. Since all of this occurred during the height of the pandemic, it wasn't an option for me to use any of my points to travel for a while. When I called back in Oct 2021 to reactivate my account and resume monthly payments, I was told that all of my points (1385 at last count, or $1385) had expired and that there was no way to get them back. They told me there was no record of what we were told, when their so-called records are based on notes taken by the rep who took the call, and not an actual transcript.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/27) */ We are sorry to hear of any negative experience and inconvenience the consumer may have faced. We have researched the issue and can provide the following findings for context. The consumer enrolled with our membership program in September 2019. The consumer stopped paying their membership fees as of October 2020, thus ceasing their status as a member of our company. As per the terms and conditions of our rewards program, we must point out that all program points expire immediately if the Company or the Member terminates their Travel Program membership or their membership becomes eligible to be terminated for any reason, such as non-payment of monthly fees. In addition, our rewards program points do not have cash value, thus the consumer is ineligible for a refund of their membership fees. We would like to offer the consumer 114 program points should they rejoin our membership program. We hope the consumer finds this information helpful. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept WorldVentures' response because as I mentioned in my original complaint, as well as over the phone for an hour with a WorldVentures agent, we were not told that the monthly payment had stopped getting collected, nor were we told that the membership had been terminated in January 2021. What we were told was that if we resumed our monthly payments within 1 year of our last monthly payment, all of our points would be made available again. That is what we were told and that is the information that we acted on. Of course it's possible that the agent we spoke to had lied and/or told us the wrong information. However, that is what we were told and it is what we acted on. WorldVentures has an obligation to their customer to take responsibility for the fact that they have poorly trained agents that are misinforming their customers, which led to money going down the drain for the customer with absolutely nothing in return but excuses. This is no way to do business. I would like a refund of all the monthly payments collected by WorldVentures, which amounts to $1385. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/11/11) */ We have carefully reviewed the consumer's comments, and we would like to offer additional information for context. Per our our rewards program's terms and conditions, it is stated that all DT Points expire 12 months after they mature, except for DT Points that are earned with enrollment or upgrade, which expire 12 months after they are earned. A majority of the consumer's rewards had expired by January 2021, thus the consumer would not have been given 1385 points upon reactivation of their membership and rewards program. We have no records in which our company provided the consumer with different information, however as a courtesy and act of good faith, we will like to offer the consumer 400 points in addition to the 114 points previously offered to them. The consumer does not qualify for a refund of their membership fees as they are outside of our refund policy timeframe. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2021/11/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) WorldVentures does not have records of the conversation because they do not actually keep transcripts of phone conversations with their clients. They only keep brief notes taken by the phone representative, and there is no policy on what kind of information they need to include in those notes or not. We also took notes on our end, detailing the number of points we had at the time of conversation, the date we were told to begin the monthly payments by, the date of the phone conversation, and more and this obviously does not align with what WorldVentures is claiming. I would like to receive the total of 514 points offered by WorldVentures, but not as points. I would like to receive it as a reimbursement check of $514. I have no intention of ever using their service again for any reason. I am still losing out on a large sum of money scammed out of me by WorldVentures, but I will take a check for $514. Please let me know how to communicate with WorldVentures the address the check is to be sent to.

I spent about $620 on monthly fees with this company starting back in 06/4/19. I found that this company was a Pyramid scheme with overly expensive travel packages. As I was heavily recruited into this company by a woman who claimed that she traveled cheap with great benefits because of the travel packages provided with the company and monthly memberships. I joined to find that not only was the memberships expensive but the price of the packages was outrageous and to make matters worse the person who recruited me regularly harassed me to bring people in to purchase memberships and when I was not able to do so they made me feel that it was my fault that I was not successful. At the time I did not understand what a total scam this was.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/16) */ We are sorry to hear of any negative experience and inconvenience the consumer may have faced. We have researched the issue and can provide the following findings for context. The consumer enrolled with our membership and representative program in June 2019. The consumer stopped paying their membership and representative business fees as of September 2019, thus ceasing their status as a member and representative. There was no contact with our company or efforts made by the consumer to clarify questions over the course of their membership with our company. Unfortunately due to the timeframe that has passed within our refund policy, the consumer does not qualify for a refund of their fees.

I have being trying to cancel my account with World Venture for a long time and I thought I did. I did not think about this for a while until I checked my bank account that I hardly ever use and I saw that they had been charging my bank 124 dollars since I had cancelled my account. I tried reaching out to them and no answer and my emails were returned from the account administrator. According to their cancellation policy, I can only cancel through an email. The last thing i heard was that the company filed for bankrupt and due to the pandemic there was no travelling allowed. I need help resolving this issue. Thank you

In Aug 2019 I signed up for a travel club called Dream Trips by World Ventures aka Rovia. I was told (and watched a video describing how things work, that by paying $100 a month I would receive points towards vacations to be used when booking. At no time was I told the amount of points I'd be able to use after accumulating would be limited. I was also told these trips included exclusive benefits and upgrades. When I finally tried to use this travel club to book a trip it became clear I lost points I accumulated due to expiring after a year (something I also was never told) and that the amount I could apply towards a vacation was not even equal to one month of my paid in amount. There was no deal as I found I could book it myself directly with the resort and get all the same prices and benefits. As I explained to them there was no way for me to utilize all my points snd no other benefits for the money I paid. I'm out $2100 for in the end, receiving nothing. I want a full refund.

After learning the company went bankrupt I have attempted to cancel my membership. However, they are still taking money from my account every month, and I would like for them to stop, and refund me the money they have taken from me since they filed bankrupt, and cancel my membership. This has been going on since January 2021. I no longer want to be apart of the company, and I want my membership cancelled, and refund the money that is owed me. Thank you
