Loom is incredibly easy to use, just record and go. I love how quickly I can create a video and get information out to those who need it by instantly sharing a link. The ability to both record myself and my screen makes explaining topics or walking people through a task so much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Every once and a while the video quality lowers due to slow internet connections. Also, the editing tools are not very in depth but for most cases its more than enough to edit your video. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Loom is one of the most efficient tools I’ve used for recording quick video explanations. As a tech writer, I often need to walk through product features or explain documentation updates and Loom makes that incredibly fast and easy. The browser extension is lightweight, the interface is user-friendly, and sharing videos is as simple as copying a link. I love the ability to show both my screen and webcam, add callouts, and get real-time engagement metrics. It saves a ton of time that would otherwise go into typing long instructions or waiting for meeting slots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Loom works great for short-form content, it sometimes struggles with longer recordings — I’ve run into occasional performance lags or upload issues for videos over 10 minutes. The video organization in the dashboard could also use more advanced features like folders or tags for easier management. Finally, the editing capabilities are fairly basic compared to dedicated video editors — which is fine for quick tasks, but limiting for polished presentations. Quickly record videos and easily share videos Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are lags, I use the free version and I have a team of 3-5 people who also use Loom, but it happens that Loom sends a message that the library is overflowed and can not record video, but although there is still a place for example 10/80 (as an example) but it points to the default values. Updates have not helped Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Loom for one off recordings is great. Ad hoc demos, quick 1:1 recording to share with someone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Loom for meetings is a newer offering they launched after acquiring Rewatch. Rewatch was a great tool for remote first teams that record many meetings. The features we loved about Rewatch are lacking, or painful in Loom.
Meeting search is terrible, impossible to use, and only provides the top few videos. Rewatch allowed us to search a keyword and see every recording this was referenced and quickly jump to the section where it was referenced.
Rewatch leveraged the zoom cloud recording to upload after each call. Loom uses an AI assistant that is present in the meeting. No one likes this. Non-human participants in meetings is distracting and annoying. Plus, after the migration to Loom, multiple versions of our meetings are being uploaded.
Support is lacking. Our dedicated Loom rep said to submit tickets for our long list of issues. Something that is taking hours away from our team's schedule each week. Feels like we're doing all their product testing for them. I think it will be a nice tool by the end of 2025, we're struggling until then. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of editing has only gotten better as with the mobile integration and those two things excite me for the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That is not often used by companies all the time at this point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use, and the interactive features for other viewers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing at all, the quality of the videos and the interactive features are just amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Loom is getting smarter and smarter as the weeks go on! The AI transcript is super helpful, being able to cut out the uhms and filler words with AI is fab too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the user experience isn't as easy as it could be. I.e. the browser extension doesn't give you an option to navigate to your library etc, neither does the desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find Loom very easy to use and effective. I used the desktop app more than anything and create educational, entertaining, professional with a personal touch videos. The latest AI integration has been very helpful and I'm looking forward to getting more comfortable with how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I believe I am not utilizing the tool to its fullest and would like to see more examples and success stories posted to give me ideas on how to improve my communications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's interface is really easy to use. I like having the app downloaded to my computer so I can click the Loom symbol to open it up from the top banner of my screen multiple times per day. I'm also obsesses with the pause and restart buttons that prevent me from having to start over every time I mess up in my recording. The editing capabilities have come a long way in my time working with it which has nearly eliminated my need to stop and start over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It could offer a bit more accuracy with its editing feature, I'd like it to be easier to stop and start the recording while in editing mode but otherwise I'm very happy with it's editing capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In approximately 12-16 minutes I can make a video presentation of my glazed extension model, highlighting all the most important featues. I never edit the presentation. I just imagine I am sitting with them and running through the information. Benefit to me.
Time saved travelling
Time saved presenting (the same info would take an hour face to face.
I can record the vdeo whenever I like (often at night)
I don't have to spend time arranging to get both partners together at the same time (sometimes they are not both in the same Country, but can share the video.
Benefite to the Client:
They don't have to set aside time and coordinate with their partner to meet up with me
They are seeing the same information (Benefit to me as well, as I'm not relying on meeting one Partner and them trying to remember what I have told them... they would only reember 20% of what they are told and guess what? They will remember what it most important to them, not their partner.
Clients love it, because it gives them all the important information both visually with explanantion in the briefest time, where they can watch it at their convenience and not have to set aside valuable time for meetings.
It also sets me apart as unique... no other sales people use it. I can't understand why!
I am also using it to create short training videos on how to use our drawing software
YOU MISSED OUT THE MOST IMPORTANT ROLE BELOW.... SALES Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find the editing interface clunky and really get annoyed when I set up the screen I want to use for full screen and then it reduces the page when I am about to record. I wish it would save the settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
