google chrome privacy error

I am experiencing an error when I try and go on certain pages using both google chrome and safari, I get a privacy error and no matter how many videos I watch or redownload the internet browsers, nothing seems to be fixing the issue. Has anyone experienced this and please tell me you were able to fix it, it is very infuriating and I want to throw my computer out of the window. This happened within the past couple of days as I was able to access the websites without a problem.

In order to make a secure connection, the web site name you entered MUST match the certificate that web site proffers. Otherwise, the web site could be being spoofed, and could be masquerading as someone else.

That site provers a certificate whose name is "mail.cableone.net" and THAT is what you must type to make a secure connection. Otherwise the certificate is seen as a fake.
