How do I log into My Book Live?

Enter http://mybooklive/UI/ssh in the browser address bar. Enable ssh access! If the name resolution does not work (the browser is unable to resolve “mybooklive”) you can look up the IP address that your router assigned to the MBL. This should be possible using the web interface of the router.

Can I connect WD My Book Live directly to computer?

It is possible to connect the MyBookLive to the computer directly and use it from the computer but you would not be able to see the unit from other computers on the networks because you would have to share the drive in a way that it is visible on other devices even when the unit its connected directly to your computer.
